OmbrackOK i fixed it.
Right click on your steam icon, properties, and in target just add -steamos (remove any -nochatui -nofriendsui if you had them)
Worked for me, again with metro for steam skin, idk if it works for vanilla steam

everytime i get a steam notif it makes my frames drop to 0 for a second and go back to normal.

It's not a fix, but if you're some program guy then maybe you can figure out how to change css styles permanently
you can get a html editor if you have dev in launch console

The new steam chat design was, during the night, once more forced on people who were using the old one, and as far as im aware, there's no "clean" way to revert that change.
People who really hate the new chat design can still use the command -no-browser but it doesnt allow you to browse the store (cause store is part of the browser), but otherwise i guess we have to accomodate.

if you send a link longer than what steam chat considers one "line" it will stretch out the chat further than the window borders, making all buttons and any long messages off screen :)

i just want a decent mobile app
how many times have i missed msgs from ppl cuz the steam app just decided to not show them
also keep in mind, the app doesn't show msgs from group chats (if anyone uses those compared to discord) and the other new stuff that was added in the redesign
i think they already said they were working on a update for the mobile app but still, me having to risk my steam account to use a thirdparty steam app to get the functionality that the official app should have (notifications that work and nicknames) is dumb

I'm not sure if I'm going crazy but did Steam's chat always have a spell checker? Whenever I type anything now it's underlined in red, even if the word is correctly spelled.
