I was a lot worse after a month of not using a mouse at all than a month of just not playing tf2.

Use this time to build up good study habits and pick up another hobby (weightlifting, sports, etc.) while your at it. The hobby will make the time pass a lot faster and the study habits will make it easier for you to keep up your grades once you get TF2 back.

Then some time later in a few weeks, I tried it again and I could do it. This always happens to me. I left TF2 for a bit last year and I came back around this January and I think I'm doing even better. But definitely focus on school and work, your education can take you to alot of places.

i couldn't play tf2 for like 2 months (regularly) and it really screwed me over. I lost all my airshot aim and my jumps and shit but after like 2 weeks of straight up practice i got my shit back and then some so don't worry about getting rusty it won't take too long to get your skill back. take up music! took a 3 month break from tf2 to prepare for a competition + auditions and came back with really shitty dm but great decision making.
music just helps develop a more efficient way of thinking imo. analyzing situations and finding the appropriate response. plus your parents have an audible confirmation that you're doing something productive.

To go on with this, my first two years were school + games. If it wasn't for my CAD vocational, I wouldn't have taken my last two years seriously.
Don't fuck up, if you can't play till summer, then just take things seriously. My last two weeks so far have consisted of 80 vocab words, 2 definitions + 2 sentences each word, 24 journals, 6 quizzes, and working on a movie review, just for English.

Only thing i could think of is make an arrangement to play games for an hour or so, just go dm for an hour a day or so.

Damnit capn. I take you to lan and this is what you do?! The trick is to suceed in life also. Level up in life. In 20 years no one will remeber your skills at this game. But they will know if you are a bum or flipping burgers at 40. Find a balance between both tf2 and school. I work 9 hours a day 6 days a week and I juggle that plus a gf plus family and friends and still manage to play tf2 in comp. You just gotta prioritize your life. Stop listening to nickleback for 4 hours a night.

TF2 Community #1. We're beautiful and we have our priorities in line. More to the topic of the post, just get good grades. My grades tanked a little this year, so I quit TF2 for a while, and gaming in general, and just focused on school. My grades are back up to par, and my DM has improved because I took a break from TF2. I also have a better attitude towards the game. Breaks are good. Studying is good.
