reillyfooqpcs:go showed that even on LAN people can use hacksI don't follow CSGO, but did they not get banned before LAN? Aka, not on lan.
Many of those players had gone to LANs
I see you too are a member of the Muslim Girl Gamer league.

The HAF 912 I bought had to come out of somewhere in Cali, everything else shipped from Memphis so I got it today. Will possibly post a build album alongside a finished product picture when the case gets here.
That beautiful moment when you look at all your boxed parts right before building. Ahhhh
MOOSE_Once you invest your time in tf2, there's really not that many redeeming qualities.
If you are a new player trying to get better it is likely that the comp community will be toxic to you.
If you are a not a new player the comp community is still pretty toxic.
Also, playing at a high level takes so much time and commitment that when tf2 dies you will be left with nothing to do.
The skillset does not cross over to any other game really. Maybe quake, but who still plays quake.
Logically I would say don't put time into tf2.
But, I am still going to advise you to try playing tf2. Join a league with some friends and play the game for fun. Your div doesn't matter as long as you are getting better as a player and enjoying yourself.
Who are you and how I have not heard of you cause you are a legendary asshole.
mana is my favorite tf.tv administrator

the resistance to the idea of at the very least not being a huge fuckin jagoff to strangers in a video game is disappointing. you guys want tf2 to grow but not if it means you might have to stop circlejerking long enough to appeal to people outside of the 6s bubble.
Literally no one has said that. People have been arguing two things:
1. The extent of toxic attitudes
2. The impact toxic attitudes affect the growth.
It isn't resistance to stop being "jagoff's", its people voicing how ridiculous it is that people think it is a problem when on the whole tf2 is a very welcoming community with a much more friendly environment than nearly every other E-Sport, and that somehow people thinking that making jokes = toxic while in reality only a small amount of players could truly be considered to have bad attitudes.
Reading the posts here and many of threads lately have drained both my will to live and my desire to play this game more than any amount of toxicity in 10 years would ever have done to me.
CorsasmoboYou really don't know me at all if you think I'm toxic and treat people poorly. Go try to find the instances of me insulting people for anything other than them being rude or needlessly aggressive. There are a few and I still haven't forgiven myself for them.
are you implying your sarcastic aggression to every ugc and tftv forum post isn't rude and toxic?
We've come full circle. This is it boys.
PAPASTAINPS: in real sports, you get shitcanned in an instant for being racist, so perhaps it's better to not make that comparison
PAPASTAINclckwrkI'm not justifying anything. I'm telling you your solution is stupid. Because it is true that where you find competition you'll find what you like to define as toxicityexcept for all the places you don't have people screaming slurs into your ear, I guess
clckwrkalso real sports != the internet, so please don't argument semantics about two utterly different realms of life...you're the one who made the comparison? I'm the one who pointed out how silly it was?
??????
I've literally just said "don't say slurs and put a tag into your name if you want". jesus christ, how is this the response of all things
Are you really this dumb. Really. Pls, is this a troll account.
You can't even follow your own line of thought. Get this idiot out of here.
MOOSE_The sad thing is I cant think of a single person in the tf2 community who I would not call a douche
Yeah I agree. Here I'll name the first.
MOOSE_
PAPASTAIN"well [x] is more toxic" doesn't particularly make you or I any less toxic, no
Except for the fact that this community is really not toxic at all. Honestly. This community's attitude has nothing to do with how big this game is, especailly considering it is overall relatively more welcoming than any other currently relevant game.
But I do agree with you that community lead efforts can grow the community.
WARHURYEAHGetawhaleOne thing that upsets and concerns me is the number of players who are latching on to this and Lange's thing as being "proof" that TF2 is dying or competitive is dying. I've had random people asking me if TF2 is dying, and that concerns me.
Certainly if it's the opinion of some that the game is dying, that's their opinion. But people are taking this as fact.
People had these thoughts way before Lange posted that video, difference is that like Lange, people more recognised in the community are venting their thoughts on popular platforms instead of just in a mumble with a few other people.
This doesn't mean that comp is actually dying, I think this means that people are starting to realise that if you put a lot of effort in to the game you aren't going to really see as much of a return as you used to.
Anyone that came into this game searching for a return was going to leave anyways. There hasn't been a chance for a return since like 4 years ago. TF2 has always been played for the love of the game/community.
If people are just now realizing that you won't go pro in TF2, they must have tried really hard to ignore the facts.
Though the elitism is most definitely there, the comp community's attitude is absolutely the most minimal factor in terms of how big TF2's scene is, especially considering how big both CS and MOBA's are when their communities are infinitely worse.
Making jokes and sidehanded humor will not destroy people's will to play. This is a video game, people shit talk, but players strive to compete. If a few offhanded remarks phase you so much, its probably better you don't play things competitively.
And if anyone actually believes TF2 has a more cancerous community than CS or LoL/Dota you obviously have never played either at a competitive level or you're just a baby who probably doesn't do well in a competitive environment anyways.
I don't have any comments about this actual feature. But I am pleasantly surprised and happy with the increased amount of UGC participation in the tf.tv forums. I hope it continues.
Shitposts in showstopper's stream.
10/10 in my book.
