Live with some CC closeups by ipz- now!
Bear in mind that Day[9] has a staff behind him and I am sure they prepare each show for several hours each day. A production of that scale can not be done without proper preparation.
In a cheat book I read about a game that was indexed in Germany, called Cannon Fodder. I thought it was cool to have a name that was somewhat forbidden and also a bit ironic so I used "CannonFodd3r" as nickname (I replaced the e with a 3 because that was also cool at that time).
After a few years, it became hip to shorten your nick so "CannonFodd3r" turned into "CanFo"
I am not convinced that there is enough content to fill a daily show but regular content at certain times of the day is what our scene needs imo. Before you overdo it, maybe try a "TF2 Weekly" format first? If you disagree, I'd be more than pleased to be proven wrong!
Fully Charged, which has a slightly different focus, has about ~300 conscutive viewers every time so I think it could be successful.

The opposite of PR. When are you going to tell people?
When the beta is launching for the public and everything is finalised.
Sideshow...
I talked to one of the others involved in ESA and we chatted for a while and (as long as he was well informed) I don't think you understand the basic ideas surrounding the paying side. Which means no prize pool and you'll be another free league, which isn't a bad thing but it's not what I had hoped...
I did not disclose everything to you, only what I knew I was allowed to share before the launch.
What exactly did you hope for, if I may ask? ESA will offer a free ranking system with the option to play for money as well as sponsored tournaments and perks for premium users. I never sold it to anyone as more or less.
It should come online in the next minutes/hours for everyone. I heard from some people residing in the UK that they still can not access the site.
Site is back, CTRL+F5, if you still see the maintenance screen.
Don't worry, we will be back tomorrow.
lamefxat least they did this: http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=10424
They did this with a reaction time of just a few hours, even.
I do not know if anyone has sent an email to Valve regarding the Tip of the Hats fundraiser or ESEA LAN but usually they post stuff like LANs etc, if they are not on vacation or hosting another edition of The International (i.e. can spare a couple of minutes). At least from my experience.
