crap update
only real game change
- Fixed stickybombs doing damage through walls and doors in some situations
5 new maps is cool, but odds are those 5 will only ever be played 2-3 weeks out of the year and odds are a few or all of them will RARELY be played next halloween.
ANDYYYYYYYTOS are not legally binding
Yes and no. TOS can block a lot of things just by agreeing to it, but it doesn't block everything.
example
By agreeing to this TOS you agree to not sue us.
You agree.
This is so vaguely worded it probably would be thrown out, but with more specific wording it can block a company from being sued over mostly trivial shit such as trying to sue discord due to some random idiot putting hate speech in your discord channel. It wouldn't block your ability to sue if discord infringed on your privacy by releasing info about you, or by knowing about a security issue and not resolving it causing a major invasion of your privacy.
edinScratchhin source games (MAYBE other games? idk.), lower sensitivity is objectively better. not by much, but still better. 1% > 0%bashygalaxy dpi is at 12000what
pls help
so if you want the same in/360 but a really low in-game sens, you would need a super high dpi
the difference is unnoticeable, though, and i have no clue how the fuck this guy even uses his desktop at 12000 dpi when i can't use it with 800dpi
https://youtu.be/8XNUp70mDlQ
the windows sensitivity slider all the way to the left with 12000dpi will feel like ~750dpi on the desktop, which at 1440p and 2160p is definitely usable. That being said why anyone would want to use over 2000DPI for anything is beyond me. Even at 2160p (4k) 1600DPI is still more than enough unless you have a pretty high sensitivity (3inches or less, and honestly you probably wouldn't notice the DPI not being high enough anyway with a 0.5in/360).
SurnyCherry MX Silent switches are pretty quiet compared to other mechanical switches and are functionally identical to Cherry Reds.
However, not many keyboards offer them, I do know the Corsair Strafe is one of them though.
O-Rings are also always an option if you're strapped for money or want to dive even deeper. Silents + o-rings is basically inaudible.
^Basically this.
MX-Silent Red/Black/Fast + O-Rings 0.4mm or 0.2mm if using fast
I used these with Cherry MX Browns for a long time https://www.amazon.com/Cherry-Rubber-Ring-Switch-Dampeners/dp/B00AZQ2OF8 was still a bit louder than your typical membrane keyboard but not much so, I can only assume that MX-Silent keys + O-rings would be as quiet or quieter than basically any keyboard you can find.
Another big tip, put your keyboard ontop of a mouse pad. This also helps dampen a lot of the noise as well.

This video has 2 MX-Silent keyboards compared to a MX-Red. None of them have O rings added all keyboards are directly on a hard flat surface.
VisThis is not the only reason. I have tested this around 3 years ago, on a server with 2 people it happens pretty reliably solely on very certain spots of the map. It happens in single player, too, given that both players are at the correct place.
I guess it is feasible that 2 players could "wallbug" each other for short instances.
Then again MGE as a map is a lot harder on servers than pretty much any other map that's played regularly. All those arenas need to be rendered constantly by the server not to mention the scripts (within the map) required for MGE to work properly, so to a server MGE can be to much to handle especially if said server is already oversubscribed by the server provider.
The servers "framerate" dropped signficiantly which also dropped how often it updates to something pretty low even if for only 1/5th of a second. Due to this really low update rate it predicted where 2 players would be but didn't check for them to have collided with each other so it put both of them in the same area where they end up stuck to each other. This is also how sometimes on super shitty server 2 sniper CAN kill each other with hitscan. This is a big reason why you want servers that can sustain high update rates, not usually a problem in TF2 but games like battlefield where a 64 person server in a large map that can have huge map changing events and even small ones all across it at the same time you'll notice similar issues caused by low server update rates. For anyone that player battlefield4 in 2013 and early 2014 the low tick rate is why people used to kill the person who killed them ALL the time.
I still remember bf4 players rejoicing when the game got updated from 10tick to 30tick and again when it got 60tick like 4 years after release.
that match last night...
provided me with this great clip of spacecadet reacting to scratchh

technically wrong but...
yttriumit will not affect your framerate at all, but will affect the delivery of frames to your display. frames will be passed directly and will no longer need to go through your window compositor (DWM) first. so it won't improve framerate, but it will improve frame latency and possible frame jitter.
that being said, windows 10's DWM is much better than previous windows versions, so the frame delay is nowhere near as bad as windowed/borderless in win7/8 was.
this varies A LOT from PC to PC. If you're running fullscreen already i.e. not borderless window or windowed at all their is 0 reason to have DWM enabled other than shit frame times and microstutters.
for the most part yeah window 10 DWM is better than 7/8 but 7/8 had was more consistency across varying hardware.
SpamfestComanglia-snip-To be fair steam offline/online times are kinda glitchy, and a lot of people leave their computer running all night, so I don't think you can really rely on those. This situation seems pretty dumb though, at least try rescheduling before FFWing someone even if you really have to go.
I'm actually well aware of this. I was baiting them to post that kind of shit and say what they were actually doing. xipoison took it.
titan (tftv posts), star(tftv posts), pomeranian(tftv posts), hanfu (tftv posts) and now xiPoison (took my bait) have all been confirmed to be awake well over 30minutes after midnight EST and it's very likely dubthink was up to.

Hi, I'm that 1:45am EST guy, I actually hopped off earlier. I just kept checking my steam multiple times last night because I was getting messaged by people about the thread and my comp was still on downloading an update for a game. Just because steam is labeling someone as "online" or "away" does not mean that you are actually on your comp. I've had a lot of times where I was labeled as "away" or "online" and I was simply just on my phone or the app was running in the background.
(edit) Also to clarify, I was in bed trying to sleep when I was getting these messages and checking my steam app on my phone.
Thank you for confirming my point. If you're willing to check your phone at 1:00am and especially 1:45am for anything that isn't required for work or school than you definitely had the flexibility to wait an extra 10min.
starsuckerTery_PomeranianYou guys asked "do you mind" and I said yes, and even then it took your med around 30 min to get in the server not 10
if you don't wanna get ffw'd or 5v6'd get in the server ontime
Have some fucking dignity you child. You paid for this shit, play out matches.
First of all we did play, second of all people have things to do in the morning. 4 of us have morning classes, 2 of us have jobs. There is absolutely no reason for blaming our team if you were unable to get your players in on time. Not only that, but your medic was over 30 minutes late and even got a pause as soon as the game started. We paid to be able to play matches, but we're not staying up until 12am to finish a match because the other team was late
hmm... I highly doubt your guys schedule are that inflexible. Spacecadet, Tery, and I all have regular full-time jobs and I know Nick has classes too, not 100% on antecedent and sail but your situation is hardly unique to your team and not waiting the 10min requested especially when they already have 5 is just really fucking petty. Sure starting 30minutes after the 15 min ffw mark is really lame and I don't blame you for starting before that but 10:55 isn't that bad and your match would've almost certainly ended before midnight anyway.
finally I'm going to point this out
starsuckerbut we're not staying up until 12am to finish a match because the other team was late

4/6 players on your team didn't go offline on steam until about 3 hours or more after your match ended? man those morning classes must be rough.
Made a video showing 95% of this.

fun fact: the rescue ranger doesn't delay the ability to pull buildings while firing (not shown in video)
