#5 Zowie TF Won't Stick in Hardware
PYYYOURI am testing out a couple Zowie products right now. I found the same issue with the mouse pad. The quality of the pad is awesome but I found it sliding when I would whip my mouse quickly. Which essentially makes the crosshair or cursor not move. I put my old puretrak talent underneath it. It works well now. Maybe try tape?

Wow Zowie could fix that issue so easily just by adding a texture to the bottom of the mousepad lol.

#7 ping problem in Q/A Help
oktober_i am wired, i get my internet out of a socket adapter though.

http://www.speedtest.net/result/4655602387.png

EDIT: It seems to be the pickup servers only that give me this high ping, i just rented and joined a vanillaTV server, which are located in netherlands aswell and i got 70 ms ping.

Just as an FYI you probably have interleave on, you might want to contact your ISP about that and have them switch you to a different Latency Path Type called "Fast"

#4 cp_drudgery - 5CP in Map Discussion

Quoting a post from the ETF2L thread for people to see.

ETF2L ThreadMy advice would be not to upload screenshots (at the moment at least). A lot of people give blatant opinions about the map by giving the screenshots a quick look. If someone really cares about your map, he is going to download it and see it in game.

Couple of things I noticed after jumping around your map for around 15 mins.

Needs Player clip ramp on the concrete here

This “ramp balcony” you have created doesn’t fit the style of tf2 maps at all and it makes me very uncomfortable just seeing it, try finding a workaround

This top lobby area looks like it gives attackers way too much space to spam and allows snipers to get some ridiculous sightlines (sightlines are generally the biggest problems with people new to mapping)

http://i.imgur.com/kehRDja.jpg

As you can see from my mspaint skills, the enemy has the highground and can use it very easily to attack defenders without even leaving it

Also, I am aware this is an alpha version of the map, but here are some things just in case you don’t forget as from what I’m seeing you have started throwing in actual textures already :)

Rotate textures on these pillars on the fences

and on ramps like these

Normally roofs need to extend around 2-4 hammer units from the building and not be just a texture, don’t be logjam

Don’t make a broken map like Badlands, fix the clipping on doors for gay sticky traps, Valve was too lazy to create a proper collision mesh for the dynamic prop doors

#14 g400s vs g402 in Hardware
Quikbut how is g502 sensor is better compared to g400?

g400 vs g502

G400 qualities
Maxtracking speed : ~3.5m/s
LOD: 4mm-5mm (guess based on prior ownership)
Weight: 105g (without cable)
Native DPIs: 400 / 800 / 1800 / 3600 (not 100% sure on the last 2)

g502
Maxtracking speed: ~7m/s (significantly better)
LOD: ~1.2mm (depends a tad on preference but typically lower is better)
Weight: 121g (without cable) (worse, typically lower is better)
Native DPIs: Reporting as having every DPI between 200 and 12,000 at 50 DPI increments is a native step which would make it significantly better.

#10 g400s vs g402 in Hardware
QuikM4TTThe G402 did not feel like a G400S to me, a G502 on the other hand feels more simliar. As a claw gripper I find the G302/G303's shape horrible, But the G303 has the same sensor as a G502 ( which is AMAZING). so there's that.arent g402 and g502 having the same sensors?

No. G402 uses a modified g100s sensor, while the g502 uses a brand new sensor that only it and the g303 have.

Personally I'd kill to have a g400s with the g502 sensor, (I've been considering tearing apart my g303 and g400s to do it, but I don't want to be left without a mouse.

#4 FPS issues in Hardware
RemiispammyOverheating? What are your temps when you're running tf2?
No man, its fine :\

As an FYI mobile series cpus will auto-underclock themselves in order to not over heat so if you think your CPU isn't over heating you might and probably are wrong.

That being said, have you tried any FPS configs?
Have you tried adding a laptop cooling pad to see if that helps the issue?
Did you restart your PC and see if the issue persisted?
Have you checked task manager to see if you have any CPU hogs?

#9 Which Monitor Should I Get? in Hardware

ASUS pros
Cheaper
Has the ability to do lightboost
Doesn't require changing OSD setting to get 1ms gtgs

Phillips pros
Better out of the box colors (moot point cause picture quality after calibration is basically the same, and to most people who get TN panels it doesn't matter anyway.)

SetsulWhy not
http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2411Z-24-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B00ITORITU/ref=sr_1_1/184-7771456-3069453?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1441745336&sr=1-1

As a consideration for myself, are the new blur reduction features worth upgrading from a XL2420TE?

#116 Danpixed's MaxFPS compilation in Customization
DanpixedHerganAny benefits of having it on 2?It forces TF2 to run all processor cores, therefore increasing frame-rate.

Uh no.

Basically host_thread_mode 2 is exactly the same as mat_queue_mode 2, but for hosting a server rather than your client.

#10 QNIX 144hz monitor in Hardware
DanceNumberhttp://i.imgur.com/3JBiZ7E.png

i mean that right there is pretty scary.

If I recall this is basically the same as every other monitor manufacturer, it's also heavily influenced on where the dead pixels are. Pretty sure BenQ is 0-3 in the center of the screen with no more than 5 total. (I learned this after having 1 dead pixel on my monitor after owning it for 1 week about a year ago)
