I'm using 1024x768 resolution with the black bars by the sides (I prefer this feature), everything is ok until I join a server and the aspect ratio extends to my native resolution 1920x1080. Any help?

EDIT: Also, is there an option like that for TF2?.

WOW!, as Emmawatson said, it's a really solid building. If you're gonna overclock it, it'll be a monster (IMO).

EDIT: At least for me, is better to buy a good SSD than overclocking the CPU.

For me, capping it results in a bit of jittering, so I uncap it.
V-sync always off (check vga drivers and in-game settings) because I want more than 60 fps.

If I were in the US, I'd definitely buy a Puretrack Stealth mousepad and a Logitech G400 mouse, because of general performance and comfortability reasons that fits what I need and what I like.

*The Stealth because it has a nice size (38x25.5 cms)and I prefer a cloth surface than a plastic or aluminic one.

*The G400 because I love its ergonomic structure and I like the size, has a good sensor and clicking, and its drivers are easy to use and they're not invasive. I've never had a cable issue with any mice because I'm very careful with those things.

If you pick the G400, make sure to buy one that has a product ID above LZ133333.
