That's coz EA signed an exclusivity agreement with MS for the very first game. They also get shit loads of money to make up for it so the sales don't matter as much.

Nowhere near as bad as going Windows 8.1 only (an update that not everyone has for an OS that not everyone has) would be on a Source Engine game.

I'm just hoping that this is an Open Beta and not an invite thing like the ALpha was....cause that isn't confirmed yet. I just wanna play this game already. :(

Known for awhile now it won't require Windows 8 (that'd be sales suicide, come on now).

Dunno where these rumors come from. It's a Source Engine game, why would it only work on Windows 8?

Wrangler was never a problem in the 4v4 PUGs I participated in which was composed of mostly Gold+ - Plat people so I dunno. Whenever people tried what you suggested you'd just build an actual uber and go in and shit on everything, and coordinating with a Spy is way easier when there's only 4 people talking.

Also Ax is probably coz Pyro rapes in 4v4, but I feel like against good people you'd use Powerjack anyways so I dunno. If they could makes Heavy & Medic allowed at the same time (by banning most of the Heavy unlocks that makes that combo too good if they had to do something), Pyro would be less used all the time since Pyro has trouble against Heavy. Right now if you go Heavy you forfeit a Medic, and forfeiting a Medic means the Pyro is going to do even better usually.

Regardless, I think 4v4 is really really fun. Very fast paced (usually) and lots of class switching in and out.

Ya, the AI enemies are basically creeps in DotA/LoL. They march towards objectives and help you take them, you have people who want to make sure the ai enemies don't march to your objectives, and if you farm them you get something for it (quicker Titan), they have weaker equipment and don't have titans or most of the stuff players have, etc.

They are not meant to replace players at all. It'd be like if you replaced all the creeps in DotA or LoL with actual players - the game would not be better for it.

btw if you guys didn't see the barkley run, watch it ASAP.

Outside of competitiveness, player count means nothing, it's if the game design around it works with the player count.

A lot of people on NeoGAF were getting in an uproar about it, but more players does not directly mean better game.
