going incognito and starting flame wars in pubs
Stream doubled average viewcount and chat was still (for the most part) easy to manage and read because everyone was cool and coming from the main menu. This was a really awesome feature, very out of nowhere but fine by me
this video helped me jump into the eyes of that gibus pyro i always see in any pub i join
camperstabby you seem like a chill guy but what the fuck were you thinking do u realize how many pubbers brains you just washed
we need youtubers/streamers who actually know something about the game instead of spy/pyro/engie mains acting like morons and saying shit like "6s meta stale hl is fun 6s is for tryhards 6s not use all classes :'("
I entered open because of this kinda, It irks me when I see pubstar types struggle to talk about deeper mechanics, even moreso feeling embarrassed when I can't do it myself
(not directed towards stabby, he knows a fuckton more than I do, but It's evident his showerthought became a bigger topic of discussion)
steel kinda sugar coated our experience, but it's been pretty good so far. We've had very extensive difficulties involving people missing lots of matches/scrims due to real life situations (we've only played matches with our full roster a handful of times) but that's from pretty much everyone at some point rather than specific players consistently. The only other complication is our teams relatively passive nature (nobody really wants to maintain a maincaller position, and anybody who tries struggles because you have to shove people to be aggressive and work together a lot)
It's also the first time i've been captaining a team. Initially I didn't want to because it felt like an unwanted extra thing to tick into my focuses but overall it's probably made me a better player just because it's taught me to reason more with everyones situations, and really focus on trying to keep the team together and improving (luckily we have people on the team smarter than me that will recommend stuff like stv reviews and discussion when I don't).
We've been on a losing streak entire first half because of our harsh schedule (excluding several ffw), but we're just now entering the more equal half where hopefully any shred of demotivation anybody had will be replaced with a drive to improve since we'll be able to say if we lose these games it's not because they were way better but rather we could have won and just need to improve. As captain I feel a little more bummed because if we aren't doing good I feel like it's in some way my fault (definitely need to get more even scrim partners we can learn from, and it's my job to make everyone go the extra mile to improve in any place our mentor isn't expected to do so). We've had some issues where people treat the team like an obligation rather than a volunteered commitment, and that gets annoying but everyone on the team genuinely wants to improve and see us win so hopefully we can kick off the rest of the season with more experiences to make
Overall everyone on the team has been pretty rad and done a great job rolling with the punches, we all know that it's what you gotta go through on the road of improving, we've found a lot of games where we manage to win rounds or scrims and feel great about it because of how well we did
yukiFUNKea_seagull is a huge overwatch streamer now isnt he
averaging 3k+
I guess this depends on your perspective of "greater adventures".
I mean whether or not it's objectively more impressive doesn't change that it's statistically greater than when he had streamed tf2
the OP even specifies it also applies to people that became large in another game, and he's pretty much #1 overwatch streamer
a_seagull is a huge overwatch streamer now isnt he
pretty much always #1 streamer of it w/ 3k+
This is a longshot but can somebody update this to be contract compatible?
It's a streaming hud that removes all names, and even though I know the bare essentials of hud editing for majority of menus and guis and fonts and colors, For the life of me I can't fix huds to have contracts working. I tried updating hudlayout, removing all quest files, editing things I was suggested, but for the life of me contracts still don't work. At this point i'd just like to have some help in making it work so I can use it to stream and prevent streamsnipes.
if you do it add me so i can give you a hat or somethin
sorry if this has been answered, but how do you fix a hud for the new contract stuff? Updating any new pieces in hudanimations hasnt seemed to work, is it something else?
sopsFUNKei mean i beat everybody with a x66 growth rate up to 100k subs just by making pub trash videos so i think thats pretty good
The numbers? Yeah those are good, the content isn't...
sounds like something your girlfriend tells you after you have sex
Dunno why this thread is getting replies 9 months later. I've got a 144hz monitor nowadays and screen tearing isn't an issue.
edit: well, some responses are to help other people, but I don't see why there are still answers to OP being posted

(it's actually 2015-16)
Reddit user /u/davaca crunched numbers of the growth rate of several TF2 Youtubers channels over the course of the last year. Posting it here for curiosity's sake
https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/3z6cg2/a_look_at_subscriber_growth_for_some_tf2related/

This list excludes "Six youtube channels which have made zero tf2-related videos in the past year"
Statistically, Uncle Dane was the largest growth rate of all youtubers listed on the chart
For some reason, when I use the loose cannon, I can't see my reserve ammo or my crosshair. They both work for every other weapon and slot, but just that single weapon makes both disappear.
