TwiggySetsulMuuki and Melle already reached prem, we're way past that.
Muuki is much better than a bunch of "prem" players like melle or lupus or the 3/6 guys though

And that 3/6 guy who got telefragged LOL.

Wonder where he is now...

sagethrow a hissy fit because you dislike 6v6 and split the community putting money in 7v7 HL

It's kind of funny to me because he's one of the few people putting effort and money in the make TF2 something this day and age and 6v6 players just sit here and whine that a guy who is trying isn't doing things for them.

I don't care about 7v7 or this tournament, if it was EU we might play for fun but I don't see why you should expect him to put money into a format like 6v6 he objectively dislikes just because you want the format to grow. It's really arrogant and presumptuous.

I remember when a guy who probably rather not be named pumped money into HL because he enjoyed it and didn't like 6v6 five years ago, same arguments happened as now and in the end he put some money into 6v6 as well, and nothing changed.

#111 Ban the crossbow in TF2 General Discussion

I stopped taking this seriously when this guy said Overdose is better than Crossbow because some guy who doesn't play the game anymore said so :D

#90 Ban the crossbow in TF2 General Discussion
nope
just like gunboats on roamer and escape plan on soldier and stickybombs on demoman... do you want to ban those?

You can run Banners on Soldiers, it's a tactical choice if you want to sacrifice mobility for extra damage or ability to soak up damage.

You can run Pain Train if you want to sacrifice the speed the Escape Plan gives you for extra capping power.

Stock weapons aren't really in the discussion.

The weapon adds good elements to the game but it doesn't give you any other choice but to run it, maybe my Medic likes to use Syringe Gun instead of Crossbow but if he does so we're at a disadvantage not using it and it's less fun for us. And I think the weapon being best in slow is a non-issue, but the alternatives need to offer something otherwise your team is hindered.

@Kav - Fun is a very objective way at looking at it, plenty of people don't enjoy the crossbow and have stated so yet you use it as an argument to keep it in. Your logic isn't adding up to me.

I don't want the weapon to be banned specifically, I think it adds a lot to the game and I'd prefer to see the Medic given an extra mechanic but it's just TOO good is the argument against. If we applied this weapon to the same logic that we apply to the Vitasaw it would be banned, but this weapon gets some sort of special treatment because it's well liked by a core group of people - It needs to be changed somehow. We're banning weapons way less impactful on the game than this like the Vaccinator and the Rescue Ranger.

Let's be real, most of the people posting in these crossbow threads and by extension even more of those people that used to watch tf2 don't understand the game well enough to know the difference between fast and slow play.
And we can all joke around and blame this or blame that but if we're strictly talking about the game's exposure there is no question the biggest thing that has affected it has been overwatch..

My problem with the Crossbow isn't whether or not it slows the game down or not, it's mainly that the weapon itself in it's current form is far too powerful and forces Medics to use it as a Primary. Not running it is a detriment to your team in the same manner that not running the Vitasaw was a detriment to your team.

When we played in the cup our Medic noted he enjoyed playing without it mainly for the reason that he wasn't stopping every 5 seconds to arrow people and enjoyed it the game more. Some people have different preferences in the game about what is fun and what isn't and threatening to quit if an unlock is banned is not a reason to not ban an unbalanced weapon no matter what class it is. Think of all the Heavy mains we could have had in 6's if we allowed the GRU (God forbid).

Whether or not people prefer a weapon to be more fun isn't the point, nor how it affects the speed of the game, though due to how one-sided our matches were in the Cup it was hard to tell if it had an affect as no other Premiership sides played so there is no evidence currently. The point is the weapon is far too powerful in it's current state, it is the one unlockable weapon I can think of that is not currently banned that just forces you to run it 100% of the time. I think the weapon just needs nerfing a bit, adjust the reload speed may be the best solution, though it'd be even better if Valve gave Medic some better Primary unlockables that aren't just 3 variations of a Syringe Gun and a weapon that is clearly superior to all three.

PermzillaHildreth
As stated accusations of me being kicked for leaking are not true. It is true I leaked some very minor detail about the Swiss System which Permzilla got angry about because he wanted to reveal the information on Pirate radio a week later. I was not kicked for this as this happened 3 months prior to me leaving the admin team amd was settled internally.

I am disappointed Permzilla would lie about this detail to discredit me (see posts #64, #76 and #81) especially because both he and I know for a fact he leaked the same information about the Swiss System at LAN prior to this. I have all the facts to back this up internally, admins are satisfied with this explanation and I want the league to move on.

What is this shit lol. I didn't want to go into specifics but whatever. The very "minor" detail was a complete document (very big it took me AGES) of all ETF2L's planned Swiss System changes written by myself, before any official announcement had been made. I was linked this document by someone who had been given it by someone else, that confirmed that you had given it to them. I am not naming this person because they were really embarrassed at the time and you know who it is anyway.

I was under the assumption that the Head Admins made the decision on why people were removed from the staff, which means myself and Sonny Black's opinion on this is the only one that matters. You were not removed instantly for this leaking incident but it was a large factor in your dismissal and the rest I won't go into as it is irrelevant in this situation. It was settled as much as "we know this has happened", but we were definitely not happy still.

I have no idea what you are talking about specifically, it was not a secret we were planning Swiss System (see a public thread posted by myself asking for feedback - http://etf2l.org/forum/feedback/topic-30613/ ). I did not leak anything about details of the swiss system - only my personal intent to see this through which was clearly public knowledge as seen by this thread.

How many of these admins were admin when this event happened? Since kkaltuu left recently I'm pretty sure it's none. But that's great that they believe your side of the story when none of them were there!

I didn't intend for this to escalate to this point, but I don't want Hildreth brushing this aside unfairly.

Perhaps then you should have brought this up, because as much as you like to think you or Sonny actually had the guts to make a decision like kicking me, this isn't reality. It may be why you didn't want me back in when I asked Sonny again a couple of days after cooling off and apologized for our argument, but I wasn't kicked and you know it. You have only brought this up to discredit me, you didn't have to, I never discredited you like this on a personal level even though I could very easily.

The other stuff, I only need to tell you LAN is in summer and that thread is from November, the "leak" was in December, whatever you said at LAN to your friends involved mentioning the Swiss System and this was before it was known. I know leaking isn't the right thing to do but there are double standards and then there is you.

But despite this, we'd sorted it out at the time, a week later I was giving you advice on how to promote the Swiss System on Pirate Radio, check the VOD out at the bits you stumble to make good arguments and suddenly you read steam and your able to put a coherent argument together. You didn't thank me by the way.

I will for my part back down if you admit what you said earlier is a lie, mainly around how I left the admin team in Spring 2015. You might care about how the community views you on here which is why I guess you're so adamant to defend yourself, I don't, I can go on for a long time because I know I everything I posted here is true even the part where I admitted I leaked some info and lets be real, you may have worked hard on it and was important to you but it was innocuous. At least I am the one here that is honest enough to admit it.

At this point this conversation has no value except a public shitting contest.

kaidusDefinitely had nothing to do with pirate radio. Over two years shy of the mark.

I meant Fully Charged EU not Pirate Radio, there have been several re-iterations of this name over the years. Look it up if you want it was Episode 20 I believe.

Just to calm people down I told Thalash clearly if he wants to discuss any points he raised to do it on the ETF2L forums or Discord. He has the option to discuss it with other admins not myself.

ThalashMuukiHow did thalash come across this information about Hildreth leaking something? Really boggles my mind how you call him out on something like that yet your circlejerk obviously also holds some information not available to the general public.
Permzilla didn't tell me this, I just messaged him on steam asking him to confirm it after I already posted it because he was an Admin at the time of this happening. The person Hildreth leaked this to told someone else who then told me, here's the thing tho Muuki, I only got informed about this incident today, and not 2½ years ago.

I dunno why you're so intent on discrediting me just because I posted facts to you that you can't accept. I am not on trial here, the current admin team know the facts of the case cos its well documented internally and they know what is being said isn't true, so I have no worries about it.

Lord_Maximus_WillhammerCondoMdon't worry etf2l admins, no need to make any changes

sinking skill levels and sharp signup decline will fix itself surely

Changes like the fresh meat cup designed to try to get more new players to sign up for ETF2L? I'm all for a good shitting on admins, but it's not like they can suddenly revive a stagnant/slowly dying game.

We're also trying to form a Newbie Group but we need more people to help us, we will make a proper discussion thread on this soon!

ThalashIf I have a conversation with you through discord will you leak it like you leaked things that got posted in the admin forum 6 seasons ago, you know before you got kicked out of the ETF2L admin team?

permzilla & sonny black steps back, hildreth returns

All I did was post some facts for you, your response is to slander me, which is a clear sign you haven't really got a good argument to present, or if you have you haven't presented it very well or made a counter argument. But like I said this isn't the place.

You can speak to ETF2L Admins in the Feedback Discord, it is there for a reason - Head Admins / League Admins will ultimately make decisions. I have zero interest in speaking to you on a one on one basis because you act like a child in almost every scenario we've ever spoke online, only time I had a reasonable conversation with you was briefly one time at LAN.
