#61 Lowpander swaps out Kissakala and Grenjabob, Crayon joins in News
Thalashfuck my life, bring back permzilla

?

I don't see what ETF2L was doing with Permzilla 5 seasons ago was any different to now, teams who finished 6th got a Prem spot, teams that won High got a Prem spot, teams that didn't contradict the 4+ players on your team were eligible to lose their spots - same process really, same unwritten rules. Skill level is determined by official matches in ETF2L during regular seasons, this has not really changed in several years, I really don't get your points. Only thing that changes season on season is the unpredictability of Premiership teams folding and spots that there are in the division.

You're being unreasonable. Post on ETF2L forum or ETF2L Discord to discuss further with admins.

ThalashMoist_PenguinSo why are you saying there'll be between 1-3 spots in prem next season? There are 3 spots in prem next season, and all 3 of those spots have a chance to be taken by AMS' team, LEGO & kaidus' team.

You're asking admins to predict the future, we don't know if teams sign up for the next season until they actually signup.

We're preparing for several scenarios with Premiership playoffs, don't worry. All I know is the decision that will be made by non-conflicted admins will not please everyone, but that is the reality of running a league.

ThalashThere's no way nunya who finished 7th with a 1-13 record, only getting a map win vs the team that finished 8th, gets a spot in prem over AMS' team, LEGO & kaidus' team.
Moist_PenguinThere will probably be between 1-3 spots available depending on teams final rosters and signups. Until prem signups close any number is uncertain as teams may die or comeback during preseason. The teams with spots in prem so far are Se7en, Arctic Foxes, NerdRage, ChampGG, Lowpander, Lemmings and Noot Clan. However champ and noot clan look to have changed too much of their roster to keep their spots. However until signups close nothing is certain. How does ChampGG have a spot in prem when they died last season and as a result their playoff spot was given to Lowpander?

I don't see where it says Nunya have a spot? Do you?

Teams have to comply with the unwritten rule based off of rule 3.5 of General Rules: 3.5 Switching line-ups or hijacking teams is not allowed, though this rule isn't specific to Pre-Season playoffs and to be honest we should look at updating the rules to be more clear, something we will consider, it is unwritten that rosters who keep more than half of their lineup between seasons are still considered eligible.

Champ.gg are still a team by name but have 5 changes so they will not be eligible unless 3 of their roster at end of last season come back. Same rules apply for any other side.

I want to say thank you to Grenjabob and Kissakala for 2 great seasons, I really hope Grenja gets a chance to play Roamer for a good team in High.

Kissakala won't read this cos he's an IRL tryhard cuck now, I just hope your mum doesn't stop watching our games.

#4 Might be a dumb question but... in TF2 General Discussion

In this situation people go for the damage class I am guessing because they think they can defeat him, it's a mixture of arrogance/confidence and/or quick tactical thinking.

E.g. The class defending the Medic may be reloading and have less ammo.
- It is easier for a player defending the Medic to deal with you if you're not shooting him and he knows it because you then only have to worry about hitting shots or blocking the aggressor, therefore targetting him gives you more chance of achieving the kill (In some scenarios, dependent on how early he sees you plus map geometrics).
- Easier for the Medic as well, if you start targeting him he doesn't have to worry about healing his target and can focus on dodging or defending himself, so for the same reasons above it may be easier to target his defender first.

Of course I don't need to tell you the advantage of the fragging the DM class first as it makes the Medic kill almost guaranteed if you do it quickly enough without taking a lot of damage.

To answer your question though it's most confidence in your ability or because of one of the reasons mentioned above. A smart player wouldn't go for this situation unless they felt confident and/or their life was worthless as it was the end of a fight and they had nothing to lose.

#35 my 5cp idea to help with stalemates in TF2 General Discussion

Playing more Koth is the only viable solution to this "issue", if you see it that way as Koth isn't universally unpopular and the way it works always encourages pushing or you lose.Only other solutions offered here involve some sort of meddling with the timelimits or encouraging teams to improve their play to be more clinical or change playstyles...etc - Sort of change can't be affected as easily as simply introducing more Koth.

Personally I want to see more gamemodes in 6v6 to allow for greater innovation of strategies, but I gather the vast majority of people currently in competitive TF2 don't wanna see 6v6 on Badwater and maps like Gpit and Turbine have never truly taken off (imo cos nobody wants to play them outside of gameweek), so trying Koth maps is the only way forward. Work in a 2nd Koth map into the map pool permanently from now on is a good way forward.

nuttynutnutWhere Did They Pick Up That Player Grenjabob Literally Any High Open Scout Can Do Better Than Him Smh

That is what all the High scouts said last season as he pounded them. I'd rather play with my friend Grenjabob, who did pretty well considering it was his first Prem season and he's a fucking Spy main.

WP Nerdrage, good luck in the next round, deserved to win.

#32 ETF2L Fresh Meat Challenge in TF2 General Discussion

One thing people here looking to Buddy could do is take a more active role in trying to find new players. One idea I have got is to start hosting New Player mixes, I am trying to quickly organise one tonight from Reddit to happen in ETF2L Discord, but I don't know how successful this will be in achieving its aim.

https://www.reddit.com/r/truetf2/comments/605f08/premiership_player_hosting_newbie_mixes_for_fresh/

Expect more organised versions of this to develop though. Tonight I am just trailblazing.
