#56 ohboy in TF2 General Discussion
sage78It's a shame that just because someone is salty with someone at one specific moment, the dumbest part of his fanbase feels the need to personally hate on the guy and harass him
Sad!

I think this is the biggest shame, not necessarily b4nny being upset at the player. His personality is one where he is prone to getting annoyed at his team, it's expected, it's who he is and all jokes aside, this I can accept.

But the people harassing that guy for making their favourite streamer mad is the biggest issue just by him playing the game badly (not even on purpose). I bet b4nny would be at least slightly disappointed if the abuse that Medic got stopped him from playing the game competitively. The idiots who harass people are the real villians, I doubt very much b4nny would take this attitude with newer players, I saw him mentor in the Archimedes Cup he was very patient and pleasant to his team.

I feel bad for that Medic, but then again it's more important to win pugs than spare people's feelings. Good work b4nny!

#57 ETF2L S26 W6: Lowpander vs. se7en in Matches
nykLowpander definitely have the chance to upset this game. We have seen time and time again, the best teams in the world play clean TF2 and have very clear gameplans etc, and they are the best because if you let them play at their rythmn in their style, they will simply beat you with superior coordination and fragging potential. However, throughout TF2, these teams have the potential to be upset by the more unexpected and "gimmicky" (if you will) teams, for example HRG losing to TCM, and FROYO losing to nR in the upper bracket final at i55. It very rarely happens twice (as exhibited by the i55 Grand Final), but Lowpander definitely can use the plays of people like muuki to gain some sort of unexpected advantage, and then hold that advantage with the solid and reliable fragging of uubers and Mr Epic. It's also worth noting that this se7en lineup hasn't really come up against a team that runs a very skilled sniper yet, and Mr Epic could also help provide a dangerous pick potential in that way also. Furthermore, se7en have shown in the past that they can be undone by a vaccinator medic (under the name of nameLess, versus PC Master Race). That being said, don't anticipate an upset, as se7en are clearly the most reliable and dominant team Europe has seen in several years.
Enjoy the game everyone :)

HRG lost to TCM because TCM were a better team, FROYO lost to Nerdrage probably because Nerdrage were at their best and FROYO were below par. If we have any chance of a result tomorrow it's going to depend on if our team can play at our best, which has not happened for a while, and we need Seven to under-perform, which may happen but even if they do under-perform we have to be at our best to punish them. I do not anticipate anything from us out of this game, but hopefully we can make people laugh and enjoy a different type of contest since Ubrs is so against my plan to not go to middle and just build on last from Mid fight 1. :(

#6 pick/ban playoffs in TF2 General Discussion

Mustard makes a good point, and he has never won an iM playoff as legend has it he is still on his last looking for the enemy.

Why would you want Hys when you got Smirre aka a superior gamer who is unlikely to quit within 3 months?

also i'm just gonna plop this here to try and steer this ship back a bit towards course https://twitter.com/KevinIsPwn/status/835523721599266816

What "logic" did he base this off?

I would love to see Newbie Mixes relaunched in Europe, with ETF2L managing the show - Perfectly happy to do this myself with help of course.

#10 FUNKe: TF2's State of Specialists in TF2 General Discussion
bearodactyl"although its been debated for a while, its become pretty clear as of recent why valve avoids endorsing it [comp tf2]: they don't like the meta right now"
yeah i dont care what he says in the other 12 minutes there's no way im taking this guys opinion seriously

He's right though, Valve doesn't like the current Meta.

Also if you bother to watch the rest of the video he's highly complimentary of the competitive community, the gamemode we've created and highly critical of Valve's approach.

It is a typical mindset of people to dismiss other points of view so easily because they don't want to read it and miss out on the main body of their argument. It's this sort of close mindedness that hurts human society in general, though thankfully we're just nerds arguing about a video game.

#735 PugChamp in Projects
gemmCollaideEemesCan we have unlocks such as the sticky jumper, rocket jumper and demo shields unbanned? They can be useful in certain situations in game but mainly they just make pregame a lot more fun (i.e the first 2).
I don't get why pugchamp doesn't just have the global whitelist: if we are playing pugs to practice then we should have the same rules as the real leagues; if we are playing them for fun we should include what are some of the funnest weapons.
It's probably to prevent people from griefing and only using targes & jumping weapons...

But I still agree. Shouldn't people who equip these items and tryhard with them be banned anyway?

people can still easily grief if they want to, there's plenty of bad unlocks allowed

Like the Crossbow?

#10 top competitive tf2 plays ever? in TF2 General Discussion

Harb's 2k vs iM will always be the best play in TF2 history.

But one for the oldies - Byte's TCM capping last to last in 40 seconds vs Team Thermaltake in the Season 8(?) ETF2L final on Gullywash. It is made extra good because if they didn't get it they would have lost then and there.

#7 Community Ban in Off Topic
HashtagBasedMy account got community banned because somebody was apparently trying to access it. The account was given to me by somebody else I knew, so I don't have the original information. I'm not sure what to do.

If you got given the account and didn't bother to arrange to change your email address then I think you are fucked and should just start again with your own account. Only game you need is TF2 anyway
