Firehmm idk theres not much about dismantling the ec1-a around so i think getting a new one is the safer option in this case. ive never rly did anything with mice except for fixing the mwheel so im not experienced with this :P
thx for the suggestion tho
I would still recommend opening it up if possible. You can still get a good mouse, but if it is an easy fix, then why not fix it and have a backup mouse, as well as the knowledge of how to fix a mouse in the future?
Most likely you will need to pry off the mouse feet which are probably secured by an adhesive. Use a small flat head screw driver or knife or something to carefully lift up these feet. If done carefully they may be re-usable. Then most likely there will be 2 or more screws. Unscrew those to take the casing apart. Then look at how the mouse cord is attached to the PCB board. Most likely its some kind of 5 pin plug. It might use the exact same connector as logitech uses. You could take a picture of it if you do end up opening the mouse up.
