#86 Impeach ElenaMorning in TF2 General Discussion

Are we talking about ElenaMorning or pyros here? I'm pretty confused at the moment.

#10 Stream on YouTube in Off Topic

I have 50 subscribers and I can stream to Youtube. You need to validate your account via text message.

I haven't tried it, but I did enable it.

TwilitlordPlatypusthey also immediately take down your stream if you play music, or if you stream gameplay from most major publishers, so thats cool.Someone said in the ContentID thread that Valve is generally okay with any of their games being recorded or streamed, if I remember. Still wouldn't have music, though, unless you can find some really good public domain stuff.

Edit: Here it was http://www.valvesoftware.com/videopolicy.html

Doesn't matter, all that matters here is if the ContentID system picks it up.

#8 SteamOS released in Off Topic
DarkNecridBecause they don't want very many people using it yet.

Pretty sure it's not that. They should want as many people as possible to test it out. I'm pretty sure it's to keep the average user (someone who doesn't know what they're doing) from installing it (or mess up installing this).

It only works on Nvidia cards and requires a 500 GB HDD. Guess I can't dual boot. :\

#6 SteamOS released in Off Topic
Stochast1c#4 since SteamOS is currently being shipped as a system restore image, you have to install SteamOS first, partition (using gparted or something similiar), then install whatever other OS's you want on the new partition.

Why Valve decided to ship SteamOS this way is a mystery, imo.

valve wants to force you to use steamOS #illuminati

Maybe it makes it easier for testing, only thing I can think of besides just "Valve."

Don't get Rosewill PSUs. Get a well known brand like Corsair. I don't know about their cases, though.

#140 iT Servers Shutting Down in TF2 General Discussion

^

Langehttps://www.mediafire.com/folder/p7w155ae43ay4/iT%20Backups

Plugins are in their own archives. Only private/hard-to-find plugins are included in the downloads. If it's a public, open-source plugin, you can find it on your own. SurfiT download also includes the time record database, so all the times are saved. JumpiT used a different, remote system, so those times are not included. Be sure to read the readme.txt.

Map downloads come with mapcycle.txts for SurfiT and JumpiT, respectively.

Thanks to conductor for cleaning, testing, and packaging the plugin archives.

Edit: well you can't download everything at once, but you don't need an account.

I just want to see Zowie make a tenkeyless keyboard. I would love one of those.

LangeDuckydefyI fully agree with you with the lag, it's beyond unwatchable but something is wrong with the tournament servers/STVs since this is not normal.

Also, streaming without SpecHelper is impossible. (at least for me)

Tragic and I are baffled as to why the STVs are laggy. These are brand new server instances on an underloaded box with small, private STVs. They should be fine, and yet...

Maybe try not hosting the STVs on blood's internet?

#1 PM replies show original sender on To and From in Bug Reports

It's not a major bug, it's just weird.

Also, I forgot to select a category when posting this, and it said "Category ID is required and must not be empty" and "Category ID must be numeric." It's clearly not a relevant message for people who are posting, so maybe it could be changed to "You must select a category"?

#21 What do we need to do to make TF2 E-Sports bigger? in Esports

fix that

http://steamgraph.net/index.php?action=graph&jstime=1&appid=570q440q730&from=1357016400000 Added CSGO.

It's interesting how TF2's playerbase has stayed relatively constant.

I was actually having the opposite problem a few days ago. Twitch was lagging even on Low, but Youtube videos were fine.
