Move your router closer to your PC. Line of sight matters more than distance too, if you are using the signal through a few walls that could be aggravating your problems.

Waddle more; soldier is one of the strongest DM classes in the game and in highlander this shows in good players. Farm easy frags on the flank, dont just jump in like a retard at a heavy/pyro/medic clump.

If must bomb, do it from an unconventional position or at a time when the enemy team is distracted (work with your spy, both go for med at the same time).

HL soldier isn't much like 6s roamer except for the fact that you often use gunboats.

Borneo is one of the best soldier maps in highlander. Play the flank and take as many 1v1s as possible in the tight corridors of second and third point. Abuse your mobility to never stay in exactly the same place. If the combo comes for you, just call it out and run away; there is no use dying to a 450 heavy.
