Twilitlordanyone thinking about being able to switch uberguns by picking them up: all the skins they've shown off so far are stock weapons

don't get your hopes up

it isn't just skinned weapons that drop

if you roll out with a grenade launcher but kill someone who drops a loch, you can pick up the loch and continue

what isn't yet known is how ammo carries over to this - we don't know if the weapon you pick up has the same ammo it did on the other player, like in csgo, or if it'll eat out of your original pool without contributing its own (which is more likely)

however the shortstop ammo change might actually be because of this new modularity, meaning that weapons do carry their own ammo

which then leads to the question about ubers and other statuses

also curious to see if a new convar exists for disabling this new weapon drop/ammo system for comp

Apparently an issue with a recent TF2 update.

Install SourceMod 1.7.3-git5213 or newer.

Windows Mac Linux

Fixed it for me. It was probably one of the updates regarding workshop maps that broke it.

I've been having some trouble with base Sourcemod not being able to populate a map list via the admin panel. We can't even change maps with the admin panel anymore, we always have to rcon.

Have you updated Sourcemod recently? If not, that might fix it. It's something I still have yet to try.

probably was just a bug in the game itself, valve breaks shit all the time. it's probably just been fixed by a patch.

Source, especially in multiplayer environments, is a very CPU-heavy game that isn't multithreaded much at all.

Essentially, finding the processor that has the best performance per single thread, and clocking it as high as possible, will give you the best results for TF2.
