wtf am i doing with my life.
once this has been out for another week or two please add a 30+ game requirement to captain
Adding a steam login doesn't really do much if you can't link it to the person's steam profile.
Very good so far. A nice alternative for those sick of playing tf2center.

Yeah that's the plan

Also on the list, I just rushed out the steam login update because I've got to focus on school a bit.

Some changes for today
3/19/2015
-Added restrict command, as opposed to a full site ban
-restricted users can still access the website/chat, but can not add
-Some basic rules have been uploaded
-Link to peoples profile when you click them in the userlist or click your name in the top bar
-Added 45 second delay before picking starts to let users add up
This might be the last update for the next few days. Hopefully everything goes smoothly from here on out, I think I've got the bulk of what needs done finished.

There are lots of posts, forgive me if this has not been mentioned already. I played a tf2pug.me for the first time like 2 days ago. It went pretty well, but was tied at 2-2. The server auto-extended by 10 minutes. It was still 2-2, and it extended again. Then players started leaving cause the game was dragging on, and players just sat in spawn waiting for the game to be over so we could see logs.
I'd recommend maybe only one extension, or make it real obvious how to cancel the 2nd extension. Once it extended we tried to cancel it but it was too late.

I agree with the the post above, extensions upon extensions suck hard.
Dango deserves a medal, for real.
For now I'll have TF2Pug.Me as a startup page to help populate the place, others should do the same by going to chrome://settings/startup

Somebody should make a chrome extension that displays how many individuals are added up (just a simple numerical value, nothing complex) because I imagine most people won't keep a web page open the entire day. It's a bit more taxing than something like HexChat, depending on how many extensions you have running normally. That's one of the only downsides of using a browser-based pug system.

Dango are you taking donations? I (and I'm sure others) would love to throw you a couple bucks for the hard work. Also to help pay for the website, servers, etc.

I wasn't really considering this before, but I've had enough people ask me so I supposed I'll set it up. Should I just post my paypal email, or does anyone know of a better way to do this?
Edit: I updated my first post with donation information. Thanks to anyone who chooses to support.

While you're at it based dango, the mumble address in the 1st post is wrong.
Sorry for bumping this thread so often, but I thought you guys might be interested in a couple of stats after the first week. Not too many stats but I'm really happy with the number of people playing.

I only started tracking stats on tuesday, so there is a bit missing from here:

I've been trying to weed out the bad captains and trolls still. If you have any issues, the current admin team is jodd, pharaoh, and rikachu. If think someone needs a ban or restrict try contacting one of them. Hopefully the bad captaining won't be an issue after I set a game minimum, and pick captains by most games played.

Hey man. A little bit of input from a lower level player. I notice that half the players are invite/im level. I'd totally be willing to play but it seems a bit intimidating. Thoughts on splitting skill groups at all if there enough players?

This pug system is a lot simpler to figure out than the irc stuff that every other pug group uses. I understand that this was made for people who used pug.na, higher level players, but if you make the system available for lower-level players who are sick of center, it'll help a lot of people make the transition.

Also I've been talking with my host about the server restarts, I now know why they happen, I'm just working with my host to find a solution.

Generally there will be one pug with a high skill level, and the one after that will be the remaining players that didn't get picked, which is usually a more suitable skill level for newer players.

TF2 mix had a good system. One captain pug which then moved onto a fat-kid pug. This gave everyone a chance to play, and it was a good place to learn 6s because people took it more seriously than lobbies.

Would be cool to add a way to ensure two pugs don't start on the same server

It's coming. All 4 servers were full though so not much I could do about that. People were just in the wrong channels and servers.

I would just like to point out that Chrome has the ability to make an application shortcut for any webpage baked in. Press the menu button top right, navigate to "More tools", and select "Create application shortcuts..."
Is it possible to see what server (and map) the next pug will be on? Us euros (and I imagine some from na) have varying pings to the different servers.
are fags from the eu like me even allowed to play?
