Also, is the g300 any good? Looks kind of small from the pictures, but at least it's wired.

i didn't know this was a particularly new thing, i did a warranty replacement for my mx518 last year and they said they didn't have g400s anymore and that i could get my nice awful g500
i still got a backup replacement g400 that they sent me a couple of months ago

Well that sucks. Guess it's a good thing I switched off logitech before mine broke
God damn, I've been using the mx518/g400 since 2006. Guess I'll have to pray to the gaming gods that the USB cord doesn't break.
Of course the G300 is good, it has LEDs.

fuck the g500. piece of shit just randomly cuts out after a while.
you could always go on ebay and buy an mx518 for $45 and just make sure you give the mouse slack...
Can someone tell me what this newer model of g400 is and if it is on par with the g400? I wanted to get a g400 but if they don't replace them anymore idk if it's worth it with the usb cord issues.. Fuck
thrasherJust get a deathadder or zowie
I don't really care about price but aren't those a lot more? I don't really like the design of zowie's mice (am and ec1). I really wanted the g400 D:<

According the single review on the g400s, the cord is still shit.

I don't know about the zowie price off the top of my head but you can sometimes find new DAs for $60 if you look hard enough. The g400 is a larger mouse, so is the DA. Personally I like the form factor of the DA more, but that's personal preference. If you have a microcenter or bestbuy near you that have the DA in stock pick one up and try it out. If you don't like it you can always return it and try to find a g400 on eBay or something.
I believe there are replacement cables out there for 5-pin/USB mouses. Shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars I expect.
Edit: It seems like they're not as widespread as Id though. However if you have another old mouse that you can open up, it probably has the same cable.

Does anyone have any information on the new Delta Zero sensor? As in, is the sensor still flawless like the G400?

Open the mouse, trim off the shorted part of the cable, and solder the ends back together...
Heatshrink wrap the individual wires and the main insulator, done.
ok, maybe most people don't have a soldering iron and heatshrink tubing...it's well worth the money.

If they're improving on the old g400 i'm assuming it's the same (could be wrong)

I talked to Logitech last week and they said they will send me a new one once I send pictures. I sent them on Tuesday and I haven't heard back from them yet.

Actually I Called Logitech Monday because my G400 has a broken connection in the wire where it enters the mouse. They approved me for a replacement and they are sending me the G400S was so happy as I like this style of mouse I have had a couple MX518's. After the last one started to fail in the wire near the plug I called to find out it was out of warranty but they gave me a discount to use to get the G400 last year.
