Rice Guys Finish Last, Bubble Buddies, and now prematurely Fried Green Tomatoes have dropped out of the race for the open Grand Final. Street Hoops eSports came out on top in an extremely close match against Dango Daikazoku last night, with Paragon hitting some great shots on sniper and the rest of the team performing admirably. Not to say Paragon ran sniper the whole time, because he and Deadbolt were just about everywhere you turned hitting the meat. Street Hoops have earned their spot in the Grand Final and have bought a short vacation while waiting for the lower rounds to finish their matches. Tonight we only have one match to play, as the Fried Green Tomatoes have called it quits for the season and forfeited to Animus Victoria.

Lzuruha had a solid game last night with Hippo going coocoo bananas and doing about 17k damage to crux's 12k. Nate and Panda weren't too far behind him in making some big plays, and overall I was impressed with how they played viaduct. The match was a bit closer than the score indicates but when it came down to it, Bubble Buddies' soldiers just couldn't make enough of the plays to make it happen. Tonight they will be playing the team formerly known as undefated and rastlemnaia on snakewater, which happens to be one of the stronger maps for Pot and the boys. The Italian Stallions have gotten a brief respite after losing to Dango Daikazoku last week on granary, and hopefully they've used this time to get ready for the pit of despair that is the lower bracket. Last time these two teams met was on viaduct, where the Italian Stallions destroyed Pandamonium 4-0. I think it might be a different story tonight, though it remains to be seen if we'll continue to see dingo use the quickfix after the granary loss. If Pandamonium is going to win this, we'll need to see the smart play and high damage that we saw from Hippo yesterday along with the consistent display of talent we've seen from Nate all season. The biggest question is if the Italian Stallions have recovered from their loss and are ready to meet a pumped up Pandamonium, or if the dream is over. Something tells me they aren't quite finished with the season yet, and I'll predict a 5-3 victory for the Italian Stallions.
