krk headphones (did not buy for gaming) and blue snowball (it's all right like wonderland said, its stand breaks really easily for some reason)
Turtle Beach X11's
they are horrible and basically taped together, I don't even think turtle beach makes them anymore. I got them for my xbox awhile ago and i'm too cheap to replace them

mghughlauriezalman + sennheiser hd555. my headphones just recently broke though after 5 years so i'm going to either get the hd518 or hd558 not sure which the best buy for the money is though.
I have had the HD558 for the past year and it is unlike any sound quality I've had with any previous headset. It's amazing for music and the directional sound for gaming is superb. I'd highly recommend it.
And yes, I'm using a Sennheiser HD558 + a Zalman clip-on mic.

It's a solid mic. Worth the $10 for sure, and I'd pay quite a bit more than $10 for it if I had to.

I love my sennheiser pc 350se but I use an audio technica ath-AD900x and a blue snowball when it gets too hot in my room and I dont want my ears to get sweaty and gross since the pc 350 is a closed headset.
I also use a creative z series zxr sound card.

Goat_I had the same choice to make, since they are way more expensive in Germany I went with the hd518, what it comes down to are the materials and the drivers, the 558 uses "better" drivers then the 518 and has velour earpaddings instead of cheaper generic fabric. The difference in sound wasn't too drastic for me to change my mind and the 518 sound incredible coming from a consumer point of view, at first I was kind of disappointed about the cheaper fabrics on the earpaddings since they didn't feel so nice in hand but they are still very comfortable o wear (5+ hours no problem).
Actually, the HD 518, 558 and 598 all have the same driver. The HD 515 has a different driver to the 555 and 595 though.

The cushion isn't always the best depending on the size of your ears, and the hinges can easily pinch your fingers if you aren't paying attention. Other than that, I love them (and the detachable cables, which are built for wear and tear are a huge plus). There are probably better choices, but everyone has their individual preferences.
