i stopped enjoying trick or treating when i was 13 or so, and i don't mind giving out candy to people that are older and are just having fun, but i think they might be a little weird/on something when they do it

I'm 24 but I still want to go trick-or-treating. But common decency makes me not go. That, and the fact that even if I cover myself in a costume so no one can see me, and inhale helium so I sound like a kid, I'm still 6 feet tall.

I really do miss going around neighborhoods and seeing all the Halloween decorations.

Little cousin wants me to match whatever she dresses up as so I don't know yet, but last year had me dressed up as professor x so it's bound to be good.

As for age I don't think there's a limit. I only stopped because I no longer have a sweet tooth but otherwise I'd be all over it.

anyone should be able to go trick or treating. I went to a few houses with my friends when I was like 19. People will think you're really weird though. Or maybe that's just cause I was hanging out with 2 14yo girls? :x lol. I think if you get a really dope costume everyone will be cool. Like the cookie monster, how could you refuse him candy even if he's 6'6

The last time I dressed up it was as John McCain in 2008 (I have a very fancy suit) - my best bro went as Sarah Palin, and our beautiful Friend dave was an abortionist - I ended up meeting another Sarah Palin impersonator and that began a rather lengthy relationship lol.

This year I'll be going as nothing but my kiddo will be Steve from Minecraft and also The Soldier :D (He has 2 occasions for trick or treating so we have 2 separate costumes lol). Since he's little he uses them for play anyhow so it's not a massive expense considering the use we get out of them.

I live in a basement suite, so unless I sit outside on the porch I can't hand out candy. :(

That said, I think once you are an adult its probably time to stop trick or treating (now you're old enough to go to sick halloween parties instead.) Unless you are the guardian of a younger sibling or something like that, then might as well score some candy for your time.

I have a bit of a tumultuous relationship with Halloween. My birthday is the day after it, so as much as I enjoyed trick-or-treating (which as a kid I didn't so much because it terrified me), I hated Halloween for forcing any of my kiddy birthday parties to be pumpkin/witch/ghost themed. Party stores just did not stock regular stuff that close to Halloween. Also sometimes other little kids wouldn't make it to my parties because they were coming down from a Halloween sugar overload.

Actually what's really stressful is imagining going up to people and inviting them to a party. But as a kid I guess it was fine?

Anyway Halloween is really cool. I like that so many games have pretty fun tongue-in-cheek Halloween things, and I love just seeing great costumes.

This shit nothing wrong with it as an adult but you could be doing much better stuff than going around asking for candy with nothing on.

I'll be opening the door giving the goodies. I had lots of fun tricker treating when I was younger so I feel kind of responsible towards making someone else's day a bit happier by giving candy.

If older people come to my door in costume I'll give them candy but there is this group of 20 somethings that tries this same "it's for my sister" bullshit every year and I always just tell them, get your sister and bring her and I will give it to her

In my opinion, I guess high school years should be the limit on trick-or-treating lol. It'd be a little awkward seeing an adult do it...
Anyways, personally I'm not doing anything this year and I doubt I'll be giving out candy.

I've always wanted to have a really terrifying costume and just go around scaring people. Not little kids though, more like trouble-making junior/high school teens. I don't wanna ruin a kids Halloween.

I'm also in the awkward age bracket where it'd be weird for me to walk around by myself/with friends, but none of us have kids to walk around with yet (or, you know, any plans on kids...). I suspect this is the age bracket Halloween parties were meant to cover, but I don't really like parties. D:
