I've heard that it's a good idea to use the same sens all around. But I have a 10in/360 because I main scout, I don't even know how I can rocket jump with that. Is it a good idea to keep my mouse sens the same for everything? Or should I just use a smaller (3in/360) for all of my projectile classes with configs?
EDIT: Will keeping my sensitivity/dpi/360 the same for every single class will be beneficial in the long run if I get used to it?
EDIT2: I've made my decision to keep the same sens, thanks a ton for your comments!

Maybe you just need a bigger mousepad?
I main scout as well with a 10in/360, and I play every other class fine on it.

its better to keep the same sens but rocket jumping is harder with low sens IMO

Well I CAN rocket jump, I have a 14in mousepad, I just mean I have to swing my arm a mile each time to make what should be quick flixs.

I use a 13 inch sens and main scout. I'm not the greatest jumper but I've never felt like my sensitivity has effected my jumping. You should be fine as long as your mousepad is wide enough for you to swing your mouse around comfortably.

So you're saying it is a good idea to keep my sens the same for everything then, right?

Use it more. I've been playing at 9in for longer than I can remember.

I use a 10.5 inches per 360 and play demo and soldier mostly with a wrist aim. I personally don't have any problems with it. I just got used to it.

My arm isn't the problem, I can aim fine as scout and stuff, I am wondering whether or not it is worth the trouble of swinging my arm a mile to rocket jump to to make flick shots as solly, with my sens, or should I have it different for projectile classes like solly.

I think my main question is being misinterpreted. I'm not asking for preferences on sensitivities, I just want to know if keeping my sensitivity/dpi/360 the same for every single class will be beneficial in the long run if I get used to it?

Yes, building muscle memory for only 1 sensitivity will make things a lot easier. It is possible to get good with multiple sensitivities, but it just complicates things. That, and I think if you play enough, you'll get used to soldier on 10inches because it really shouldn't be too much.

It might, it might not. Just do whatever you're most comfortable with.

I definitely feel getting used to a single sensitivity is beneficial because you can build up the muscle memory for that setting. I think it's a good idea to use the same sens across the board regardless of class or weapon. I have a ~9 or ~10 inch 360 and I can play soldier fine.
With that being said, people play with wonky settings and it works for them. I would NEVER consider using accel because it messes with me too much, but it works for some people.
If you still want to try it, I'd just recommend doing some jump maps and finding the lowest possible sensitivity that you feel is still comfortable to rj with, and then go with that.

You should be able to do PRACTICAL rocketjumps fine with that sens, if that is your concern. A quick question of my own, though. Do any good jumpers actually use low sensitivities (12+ inches is my definition)? I've played a few of the harder jump maps where I've thought it's near-impossible with a low sens and had to raise it just for jumping.

Try using acceleration. Even a small bit of acceleration can help when rocket jumping. It may be detrimental to your aim in the short term, but after playing with it for a bit you can get used to it. That's how I fixed my issue when I used a lower sensitivity.

I feel comfortable with about 7 inches on demoman. I have 14 inches for scout and sniper and other hitscan classes. So actually my classes are split about evenly between 7 and 14 inches. I have soldier the same as demo at 7 inches but I'm super awful since it's too sensitive for good shotgun and midrange rockets. If I mained soldier I would get used to 9-10 inches as a good middle of the road sens that lets me do everything. But I refuse to have more than 2 sensitivities since it's already a pain to switch between the two.

While there's still a major variety in sensitivity preference, most jumpers I know tend to lean towards higher sensitivities. I play with 4.5in/360, which is still pretty extreme even by jumper standards, but there are a few others around there. Not that this means that every new jumper should go mess with their sens, plenty of good ones are at 10 or 12in/360 so it's all preference.

In my opinion, yes.
If you have different sensitivities per class, for example, that's NINE different muscle memory you need to build up. Like at this point, you instinctively know "if I move my mouse this much, my crosshair goes this much" but with different sensitivities, you're going to have to do some extra of "Okay, for Soldier, if I move a little bit, I do a 360...okay for Scout if I move a little bit...I hardly move at all", etc. In your situation of hitscan and projectile, that can also throw you off. "Okay, my Rocket Launcher is out, I can do easy flicks with little movement...okay I took out the Shotgun, now I need to move my mouse A LOT to kill that Scout".
So in short, yes same sensitivity because it's just one thing to get used to. In the end, as long as your sensitivity is COMFORTABLE to you, then go crazy. If you have to really hurt your wrist to play Soldier or whatever, then that is a little concerning. Of course, if you decide to have a different sensitivity per class (or in your case, per hitscan and projectile) it can still work as you will eventually develop the muscle memory for the different types of weapons, but I personally recommend staying with one comfortable sensitivity.

I mainly had two before, one for projectile classes, and one for hitscan. But from what I hear the best possible thing to do is to just go with one.

For me, after using a new sens for a while, it feels really fast.
I'm not saying that using a 30 inch/360 is a fast sens but if you can get used to it, it will feel naturally(for lack of a better word).
If it bothers you that much, just use your sens that is slow right now and use slight amounts of accel to make your flicks turn more while still letting you track.
