when people message you with just "yo" or "hey" and nothing else
don't you wish they just told you what they wanted to tell you?

It's good to see if the person is there or not.
Plus I'm a total lazy fuck.

The only reason this bothers me is that 90% of the time people message me when they need things done. I understand that you're just trying to be cordial and I appreciate that but I can be much more efficient dealing with issues if we just dive into the thick of it rather than waiting for me to type "whats the problem?" in response and then me having to wait again for you to respond to that. Don't feel like you have to message me first with hey or hi to warm me up just go for it and it will not bother me.

Slin's a very busy and important guy, how dare you waste his time with something as trivial as "Hello".

+1 to what Kalkin said. Being the UGC admin for 6v6, I get a lot of the "Hello" and then me not responding for ages.. Then somebody is mad because something was broken and I apparently made no attempt to fix it - if only they'd said something that made me think it was important :p

Never got why people have to wait for a response before stating stuff. Most people I know type everything regardless of a response. Get better friends/acquaintances.

Just throw em off, ask them how their mother is.

I dislike it when they leave it to me to provide the conversation thereafter.
No, no, you started this, you finish it.

I'll go a step further... If I'm actually at my computer and someone messages me saying 'hello' or similar, I'll usually respond. If however I am at work or not around and I come home to see a message saying 'yo' or 'hi' with nothing else, I get annoyed and won't respond.
If you have something to say, then by all means, start with 'hello'. If there's no response in 30 seconds or so, leave your message and let everyone move on.
