BroKingSausageVaskieExtremely disappointing news, what a terrible attitude to have.. It was clear from the beginning that Mixup players were only interested in ESEA so to get their own way, they boycotted Cevo..
With that said, now that Mixup is not in Cevo, and with them being the main competition for Froyotech, where does that leave Cevo ? Am quite afraid that without Mixup, and with Killing going the whole way showing how utterly desperate ESEA is, Cevo won't end up being the main league.
Maybe they didnt want to throw 90 extra bucks for more matches except against a bunch of random IM/Main teams from esea. Pretty sure last season they hardly played tf2 outside of matches and rare scrims? Probably didnt want to double the matches.
Also I doubt mix^ not playing in CEVO is going to change anything. I don't think there will be an ESEA season this time.

For cevo matches after week 2, will you guys pair people up based on their record or will you keep randomizing until mid-season and then start pairing people up based on their record?

For scheduling in OPEN it is based off record match by match. For MAIN the entire regular season schedule has already been posted-- round robin.

not sure if this has been discussed - I certainly don't understand it - but why the disparity for scheduling between the divisions? wouldn't it make even more sense to schedule based on record in CEVO-M when you've lumped open/IM teams into a division against some of the game's top teams?

This is so every team in Main plays each other once.

there aren't enough teams to do it by record
you'd end up playing the same 3-4 teams over and over. Same reason ESEA-I has their schedule set from the start.

Quindali[*] DEFAULT TIME to play Match 1 will be MONDAY, February 24.
[*] DEADLINE time to play Match 1 will be THURSDAY, March 6.
Is this still correct? I am trying to figure out a match time with another team and according to them Lange said Match 1 Deadline is actually this Friday, the 28th. Also, if the deadline for a match is at 6 pm on a Thursday, can we schedule a match that same Thursday, but let's say at 8 pm?

To follow up on this, ESEA's scheduling was actually pretty nice. In the second half of the season if you were a high-ranked team you played MORE higher ranked team rather than a random assortment of the open teams. Is this what the plan is?
