Also the hypocrisy in freaking out of ruwin's comments is not committed by the players who say raped or faggot. The hypocrisy is in there being no overt pushes against such language by the same people who go into threads like this to dump on one specific person who committed an offense. It doesn't delegitimize the complaints being made, merely the people making them. Ruwin it would seem did not intend to make an attack on the dignity of all overweight people just as my call that the medic is "raped" (and I'm down) does not seek to reject the brutal reality of sexual assault but rather conforms (rightly or wrongly so) to common diction in this community.

people bandwagoned his stream because it was entertaining and he was good at the game. people then started bandwagoning cuz he did something on his stream that a lot of people considered really shitty, and then instead of apologizing he made it about himself and ranted for 20 minutes about how much shit he gets, then he quit the internet. i don't know if i would chalk that up to "autistic 14 year olds with no opinion", more just people who lost respect for ruwin or don't want to watch his stream anymore (should he stream again in the future).

While I agree that most of the time these people are taking things way too seriously, I think there is a definite difference between calling someone a faggot and calling them an idiot. An idiot is, by definition, a person of inferior intellect. By using faggot as an insult, you're likening to that same comparison by saying someone who's gay is inferior in their sexuality, and thus implying that gay people are worse than straight people.

That being said, words are words and if you get really mad because someone on the internet said something you didn't like I'd recommend calming down. It's really not a big deal.

You know we call a lot of people in this community "immature", but sometimes it's good to remember that a lot of these guys really are pretty young.

It's not immature to act like a (for example) 15 year old when you're actually 15.
