If you're 100% Serious about buying a gaming keyboard for FPS Games, I recommend Tenkeyless'. The ergonomic improvement is massive, and you can find fairly affordable mechanical ones too.
Could I get some suggestions on a keyboard? I currently have a Logitech membrane keyboard - the basic kind.
Throughout my life, I've always played on laptops, so I'm still struggling with not having the chiclet keys. I have very small palms and it's tough to press up and down so much on the 'tall' membrane keyboard keys.
I enjoy how the default Mac keyboards feel, but hooking one of those up to a PC is a disaster.
Are there any keyboards out there that have EXTREMELY flat keys? All of the ones I've found are wireless, and that's absolutely not okay.

I'm using a Razer blackwidow tournament, and I was thinking of replacing my WASD, left control, and space bar switches with either reds or blacks. I know the monetary cost is low, but what is the risk of fucking up my keyboard/how long will it take?
Anyone got some better/cheaper alternatives to a Razer Blackwidow 2014 TE Keyboard?

i'm pretty sure you'd have to (de)solder, since the switches are plate-mounted.

no idea if it's cheaper, but the quickfire rapid from cooler master is recommended alot as a nice quality-to-price ratio TKL keyboard.

Does anyone know where to purchase Ducky keyboards? Specifically a Ducky Shine 3 keyboard ( http://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/Shine_3_DK9008.html )
tigerimports.net and mechanicalkeyboards.com sell them, though all look to be out of stock atm. maybe contact them to see if they're going to get more. they may not be though, seeing as the shine 4 is a thing and 5 is coming out in august
found some in stock on ncix: http://www.ncixus.com/search/?categoryid=0&q=shine+3
also apparently some microcenters carry them if you have one nearby
sorry if you're actually from guatemala as this probably doesn't help
if you're really desperate try aliexpress or ebay, but they'll be more expensive. i'd probably just wait for shine 5 at this point or get a shine 4 if you're impatient

Oh, nice! I'll probably get one from NCIX and buy an extra usb numpad or something, since the only Duckys with MX Brown switches don't have one.
And don't worry about it, I do live in Guatemala but there are plenty of package courier services here, and I've already bought a bunch of stuff online that way. Thanks for the help!

Just joined this drop on Massdrop, 60% mechanical with Gateron reds for $65+$10 Shipping +$6 taxes (California). I've seen reviews saying these are very good reproductions, and in several places seen people saying that these seem to be higher quality than the original cherry MX keys they imitate. Will post a review when it arrives.
Right now I'm on a Das Model S Ultimate with Browns. It's a good solid board that I've been using for the past 3 and a half years or so, but I've wanted to try a 60% board and MX reds for a while. This is the best deal I've seen on something that meets both those requirements while still having a well thought out function layer system and not looking pants on head retarded.

Does anyone know a place which currently sells Noppoo Choc Mini or Mini-2M with brown switches?
Might be able to buy a used Leopold FC500R for around $40. Good idea?
I have one of those Logitech K120's.
So ye thats cool.

if it's the board you want, and it's still in good shape, then $40 is a very nice deal.
the ABS keycaps on the board will lose texture as its being used, so if you care about texture on keycaps then make sure it's not too used.
the board has plate-mounted switches, which makes a keyboard (feel) nicely sturdy. nice bonus.
supports both USB and PS/2, nice bonus.
detachable cable, nice bonus.
don't forget to check it has the switches that you want

Can anyone that has / had a Logitech G series keyboard and or Noppoo keyboard tell me about how long they lasted?
I found a listing for a Logitech G710 for $65 on Craigslist and a Noppoo Lolita Spyder for $57 on Amazon - G710 has MX Reds, Noppoo has Kaihl Reds
but my main concern with either of them is how long they live or any problems with them, and I can't really find much of either in reviews. I trust the Logitech board a lot more because it's Logitech and I'm definitely a Logitech fanboy, but I wanna be as safe as possible buying my first mechanical keyboard. Any help is appreciated :D

I have had my G710 for a year now. No issues whatsoever, but I take pretty good care of it.

Any suggestions for a keyboard with brown cherry switches? I am looking for one ~$100 or less
I would also like one that has no number pad and is small and somewhat flat.

Basically a Ducky Shine 5 TKL. It's MK branded, but Ducky is the OEM. Looks really good, and the $119 price makes it a great deal.

i use a kul 87 mx blue right now and i absolutely love it, definitely would recommend. solid build and great feeling switches. however the white legends on the keycaps do fade and i'm still < 1 month of ownership but i'm saving to buy some pbt keycaps right now so no big deal

legends fading is about how the legends are applied; legends on PBT keycaps can fade just as fast.
just saying so you can make sure that if you get a new PBT set you won't get shit legends that fade quickly :)
for example double-shot ABS legends will never fade, and pad-printed on PBT will still fade very quickly..
something to keep in mind :)
