My old alias sounded a bit lengthy and was somewhat meaningless (escapist), so I decided to roll with a name that I've used before ten or so years ago on, peculiarly enough in-line with some of the posts on this thread, RuneScape.
I picked it mostly because it's a shortened form of a small area I visited near Geneva, Switzerland called Vandoehvures, as well as somewhat of a portion of my middle name.

I used to go by MagiNinjA based on a video game my friend gifted me called Magi Nation. I kept that name into a web game called Kingdom of Loathing (still going on!) which I played for some years. One day our clan had a thing going on where they would capitalize letters of their name to form other words. For me, that was MAginiNjA -> MANA. Stuck with that and variations of that ever since.

When i was in highschool i had a mate with the same name as me (Oliver). We used to get pretty drunk and write stupid raps that we would laugh at when we were sober. From there we formed a joke artist named Oxygen, as o2 is the chemical symbol for oxygen. We stopped doing the raps in highschool but i still use the name as an artist for any photography/other art i create.

Changed it because I found out about the esea-im scout (around playoffs last season). People kept mistaking me for him in pugs causing some to think I was good at this game when I'm actually garbage. (Fun fact: according to his esea page we share the same real name and age, pretty ironic). People also kept calling me z-z-a.

In 2010 when I got my first computer, a laptop albeit, there was a sticker on it which advertised AMD Radeon graphics. I thought "Radeon" was the same as the noble-gas radon, and my inner chemistry nerd popped up to recognize in the future it had failed, pretty damn hard.
When I looked at the periodic table of elements for the first time in years to see radon was spelled how it is, I thought "fuck this, I'll just say I added the 'e' because it sounds cooler if anyone asks."
