for those who dont have it, you can download from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
I just upgraded and there's no Win10 Nvidia drivers for my GPU (Nvidia GEForce GT 630) so I'm forced to use integrated graphics for now, and it's not letting me choose a proper resolution from my display preferences no matter what. I'm stuck with a resolution lower than my actual monitor's, and I can't find any fixes for it yet

^ are you sure? I'm not doubting you know what you're saying but your video card is definitely listed as a supported product

you might just have to mess around with nvidia (delete all your nvidia files or restart your computer when prompted after attempting the win10 update through geforce exp)

That's really weird, that driver didn't show up when I looked up my GPU's specific model and everything. Thanks!

is anyone else finding your mouse feeling different? is that supposed to happen?

Yeah but its just weird resolution issues i think. For some reason windows 10 has changed my native resolution to a stretched out 4:3 one. I used 1600x900 before and now i'm forced to use 1600x1200 and it won't let me change that in the system settings. I have yet to update any drivers or anything yet though so i am assuming that's the issue.

Anyone's Steam run at a lower resolution? The text is also blurry/pixelated for me on steam :x other than that win 10 looks amazing
edit: this solved it
Right click on the program that has the problem, go to compability and down there is a option saying Disable display scaling on high DPI settings. Check it, apply, ok, reopen the program.

Yesterday I was able to play TF2 and play a twitch stream on my second monitor without any TF2 frame lag.
Can anyone else confirm this killer feature?

Well when using fullscreen mode it's fine for me as well. But with windowed I can't do anything on my second monitor without getting unbearable input lag.

Quite liking Groove Music. Simple and actually does what I want, only taking music from certain folders and being able to change it at any time. Makes you realize how awful itunes can be. Now I just need to find out if cortana can play smooth jazz on command.
"There’s no way to turn Windows Update off. Microsoft says feature updates will be tested on consumer devices before they’re rolled out to business PCs."

Considering I use fullscreen, it's awesome. I can see how this sucks for windowed modes though :/

What's the deal with windows defender? I keep getting notifications that I have potentially malicious files on my PC and to click the notification to review it, but when I do click it, it shows me nothing. Am I being pranked by Microsoft?
TechDudeOpen the Xbox app and go to settings
So what exactly is the point of the xbox app? Streaming xbox one netflix or playing mahjong? Lame
If I could play xbox 360 games on my pc, now that would be something
On the subject of games: Any fans of the Fable series here? Fable Legends will be xbox one and Windows 10 exclusive. It's free too, beta sign up began.

I cannot get cortana to open websites (youtube/twitch/tvtv), open tf2,reflex, or csgo, or take notes but at least she opens minecraft.

Seeing as I play in windowed I really don't want to lose the fps from switching to win10, so I was wondering if any one is on the quest to fix this problem. I know on win7 it is possible to just disable all the ui shit for performance, is this an option?
Does that include using a 3rd party program?
And I really just like windowed for the ease of alt-tabbing. The game minimizing triggers me

you cannot disable it. You will have to play with fullscreen.

Well this has existed ever since Windows 8 came out and didn't have the option to disable the Desktop Window Manager anymore. People have tried different solutions to sort of kill the DWM process and thus get around the input lag.
These sort of work on Windows 8, but were still a pain in the ass since everything just kinda broke.
I've looked into this myself after trying out the Windows 10 Tech Preview a month ago and didn't find anything but those wonky work arounds.
So at the moment we are kinda left with fullscreen.

Alright. Well I guess if I settle for fullscreen, can I still keep my 2nd monitor really active? (I always have Netflix going during dm, or like 4 chrome tabs while I'm streaming)

keylogger (yup) and ads integrated directly into your OS.
you're basically sending information about everything you do, and how you do it.
so if you like doing shady things, you may not want to upgrade to win10.
there's also a real-time anti-malware running that will turn it self on again if you disable it. nice.
