How do I play against bots in this help.

I miss when Quake Live was browser based :(

Tery_, Match -> Start Match -> Press escape -> Select 'Add Bot' tab -> Select bot and difficulty

It's more tedious than before, I was sort of weirded out by the new UI and the Fonts but it hasn't changed my config and the game still plays as it did before.

That 1k MB download was rough on me

I like the new menus. They are a lot easier to navigate and have better settings. I didn't play it very much before because playing it on steam was very clunky, and I was not going to go to browser. Nice to see that it's fully compatible now, and may attract new players.

I guess it's sad for you old players though, I personally have not played for that long so I don't get that sense of loss.

what the hell? i mean i was glad i could play without using the horrible launcher they had before but why?
also they removed the option to vote the maps for anyone who doesnt pay the subscription.

isn't there supposed to be a voice system thing too or was that scrapped? also i want to know if anyone is finding their sensitivity different because a guy in the server i played said his mouse was different and i feel a difference too (i think they just changed the hit reg and the mouse is the same as yesterday)

really don't understand why they did this. i was just in a ca game and a lot of people were talking about not playing any more (one guy after 16 years of playing, he claims) on top of newer players having to now pay $10 to get what i and many other players deem a lesser experience to the games i played yesterday, i think it could kill the game.
another thing is, since they took out elo and ranking based things, there are all sorts of different skill levels playing and you can see it just by spectating there are a lot of people who don't even know where top are and then there are, in the same server, people hitting 50% accuracy and getting like 700 damage per round while the rest of his team are doing like 150

another thing i noticed is that when you're getting lg'd there's little particles and it's fucking annoying and idk how to to turn it off.

JEEZ it was free to have it before on steam before it become exclusive only to it, I had it in my library and now the thing is gone. So now I have to pay 10 bucks? Thats like some backward ass version of what happens with old games that go f2p

Wait, I don't understand. I still have the game in my library and I can play it just fine to the extent of my knowledge.

There's a voice chat bind in the menus so I would assume it does exist.

I think some of the elo stuff just got reset in the steam transition; it might get fixed with time. I don't know what you mean by the experience being worse beyond that.

If you played the game previously on steam you should keep it and I believe if you had pro you can email them and they will give you a code. At least thats what the subreddit is saying, I know I kept the game without re-buying.

Can confirm, never paid for the game yet I still have a working copy.

actually had a lot of fun with it earlier, voice chat and player controlled servers really breathed some life into the game

Any chance we can get a quake live stream list? Lots of pros have been streaming recently, would be cool to have it along with the other games up there.

some guy from dignitas was playing it quite a lot but that was time ago

they finally implemented an option to hide empty or full servers wich as crazy as it sounds wasnt there before

I'm enjoying the new menu, and I think the updated interface is nice and the steam integration and bug fixes have made it quite worth while
