Would be great if they added some kind of rollout arrows to mid so that teams dont get lost. Maybe for pregame?
They could make arrows blurrier and divide them as you get close to mid so that it isnt 6 people in the exact same place.

thats actually pretty exciting. I'm sure the maps in the rotation that aren't currently viable will either be removed due to popular demand or updated properly if it has a good concept

There are all maps but 2(sunshine and product) from etf2l map pool, if we dont count pro suffixes.
I am pretty sure it will look similiar to cs go matchmaking, with active duty and reserve maps.
Also, interesting part.
Recently in past 1 month there has been activity on servers with 12 people in, which means Valve is betatesting it, and that it may be out soon.
EDIT: Currently there is no win limit, but there is 45 min time limit

Is comp foundry a thing somewhere? It's one of my favorite pub maps, but I can't see it work in 6s, it's so big.

I recall highlander leagues trying it a small bit years ago, and even then it was incredibly stalling. I'd love to see someone re-try its core aesthetics/design for 6s

The MM menu has a 9v9 option. Obviously we can't say they're definitely having it on launch but the fact that it's there is an indication they probably will

considering they denied the proper cp_freight dev's tweaks to his map (check description), I wouldn't get my hopes up

They better make tf2 comp pay to play(onetime purchase) because every time cs go goes on sale for 7.5$ the influx of cheaters in out of this world. I would even mind if in tf2 you had to play a certain amount of pub maps or do SOMETHING so that smurfs and hackers have a harder time.

Maybe instead of having a normal paywall, only allow this for "premiums" and add something that would block a decent number of players from just jumping into it. If getting into comp requires like 100 hours played (of real gameplay, not idle) and on top of that they add lengthy tutorials or some other mechanic to filter people out, there will be less hackers and smurfs.
