Omg. I just remembered pagemaster for the sega Genesis. And xmutants!
And rolling thunder for the NES. It came in one of those black cartridges.

Yet to meet anyone that played either Downhill Domination or War of the Monsters.
People who are like 15-16 now were about 7-8 when TF2 came out.
Think about that for a second.
PendjiDownhill Domination

My childhood
I used to play a lot of Jazz Jackrabbit 2, if anyone remembers that game
Super mario, mario kart, star fox (n64). Were some of my first games played on consoles.
Then when I was like 12 I started playing counter strike (well before steam), as well as some other half life mods: Day of defeat, wanted, ricochet, the specialist. 100's of hours playing those games on LAN with friends at internet cafes and LAN party's as an early teen.

If anyone else other than me here has played this you'll understand why it's weird and you'll probably have no clue why I rate it as a PS2 hidden gem.

Please hold your laughter to a minimum. Hey, this was high freaking tech in my day! :P

Animal Crossing: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/82/Animal_Crossing_Coverart.png
These games were on repeat constantly when I was little.
When I was really young, my parents used to occasionally rent a SNES from Blockbuster and I'd at least played some of the Kirby games on it. Later they'd gotten some educational games (Math/Word Rescue, Mario Teaches Typing) and some typical DOS games, though I can't remember what we owned the full copy of vs. just played the shareware/freeware demo. Playing SF2 at this pizza joint near us was also a highlight.
Afterwords, there were a ton of games that were really important to me:
PS: Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot 2, CTR, FF5-9/T, Chocobo Racing, Guardians Crusade (I have bad taste), Threads of Fate, Legend of Dragoon, Digimon World, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Brave Fencer Mushashi, Jade Cocoon
GBC: Final Fantasy Legend/Adventure, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2, Magi Nation
GBA: Advance Wars, whatever Mega Man Battle Network games existed, Golden Sun, FFTA
PC: Age of Empires I/II, Simcity 3000 (and all of those cheap Maxis Sim games), BF1942 and BFV.
trippamario pokemon sonic final fantasy kingdom hearts and SHREK 2
This, I think I beat Kingdom Hearts at least three times as a kid. Absolutely love the first game.
I also played a lot of 2d platformers as a kid, one of my proudest video game achievements to this day is beating all of Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 Levels in one run as a 10 or 11 year-old. Apparently puberty removed any ability I had at 2d platformers though hah.
N64: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros, Zelda OOT, James Bond Golden Eye
PC: GTA1, Age of Empires 1+2, Duke Nukem 3D, C&C Red Alert, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Half Life, Sim City 2000
Also Tekken & Tony Hawk's Proskater 1+2 at my friend's PlayStation

Gex: Enter the Gecko
Quake 2 and 4, doom 3, UT 2004, Warcraft III, Star Wars Galactic battleground, Battlefront II, KOTOR 1 and 2, the Splinter cell games before Conviction, and Pokemon for the gba
