alright i wasn't sure about hte outlines. You could still see like an engineer or something to the right of your spawn door. Seems like a subtle spy nerf which probably wasn't needed
also, to quickly throw out a point (since I am now seeing redditors mad at pyro nerfs, god bless them):
valve obsesses over data. we're already well aware of this, look at any blog post mentioning changes in CSGO and DOTA2 and they talk about it all the time.
knowing this, keep in mind that the data valve likely has on pyro will consist almost entirely of degreaser/stock/powerjack, and nothing else. calm the fuck down, look for the long term here

Also these outlines might be part of why they want everybody to use dx9, afaik the outline effect doesn't work in dx8

Demoman
Loose Cannon
- Reduced projectile speed (now a visible attribute)
- Reduced cannon impact damage from 60 to 50. Damage also scales with distance.
- Reduced knockback from cannon hit. Knockback strength is now similar to airblast.

I question their data because I dont think ive ever seen a phlog pyro keep less than a ~2:1 KD
it didnt need a buff lol

Scroll down the the bottom of the page, there is a text above the fireplace, saying Merry Smissmas.
What I think Day 2 will be (if there is a day 2) is the smissmas update.
EDIT: holy shit i was right :D

Ya but their data is mostly incompetent pub players who see somebody raping people with the phlog and then try it themselves only to get 0 frags

I question a data set that only looks at median or w/e and doesn't notice that there's a weird distribution where the ~80th percentile of users suddenly jumps from .3 KD to 4 KD
like that's not good statistics at all

im struggling to understand what is the point of these outlines on spawning?

They are pretty useful for medics, and also might be a reason that they want dx9

likely for newer players to tell them when their teammates respawned, while comp players are obviously used to just hitting tab regularly that's not exactly intuitive

i've noticed that a lot of newer players dont notice when their teammates spawn with them; this is in particular annoying when a medic doesn't notice that i spawned with them

when you spawn as scout alone after you die, you no longer have to waste comms asking 'where is everyone'

Well the CZ-75 was completely broken (like more broken than any gun in recent tf2 history) and the CSGO team left it in the game for months because it was bad at a lower skill level. I really doubt that anybody at Valve cares about higher skill gameplay. If they did they wouldn't have nerfed demo.

this does seem awfujlly free of the normal valve stuff like map patches and whatnot, day 2 will probably have all of that revealed in patch notes along with the weapons. Hopefully we get that performance update
Will disguised spy outlines show up? I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't but if they do, RIP spawncamping.
I wouldn't get too excited about a multi-day update, seems it was just left over from gun mettle.

mind as well make the weapon switch time instant to make the game ever more fast pace'd AND MORE FUN x-x
thinking more about pyro changes... they likely want to make pyro a more all-around class for pubbers, since they're clearly pushing 6s as their first gig on matchmaking, and they don't want to tell players of one of the most common pub classes "hey sorry, you're only gonna be used to stack your few good values when defending last, cya"
idk if that's worrying or not. maybe all the bullshit will be gone by then, who knows

when pyros a shit class now
Apparently it might be a multi day update..
