My dad was held at gunpoint in our house by a few thieves when I was around 4 or 5, luckily my mom and I were out shopping at the time
We moved out of that area basically immediately after, but knowing that something like that could happen in your own home is still pretty spooky

when i was 14 me and my friend got robbed of his scoooter. it was a fat man who robbed us so it looked pretty funny as he drove away tho

i was on my front yard throwing a ball with my brother and a car pulled up to my neighbor's house and an old laby that was in the passenger seat ran to a ball that was on their lawn, snatched it and ran back to the car and drove like 45 mph away and also almost crashed into a mailbox it was pretty golden if i do say so myself
also this was recent ~ 5-4 months ago

Had a guy one time approach me late at night while I was working on getting into my car from like Walmart or similar place. I'm talking about a fast paced walk toward my immediate location with me being the only car in the area. Only had to reach for my firearm at my side and he did a 180 and left.

That being a couple years ago. Also saw a guy looking around my backyard, guessing he was looking through my stuff that I had next to the back of the house. Heard my dog bark and instantly ran off lol.

Being 6' 7" probably is pretty intimidating alone so I have that going for me.

i did see people getting robbed on 2 different occasions. one was a bag. dude stormed on the chick, pushed her down and ran in broad daylight

the other was nigh-time, from a distance. was walking down the street after school and i saw some guy approaching another one and yelling for cellphone. it was pretty scary, i was afraid he would see me and figure it would be easier to steal from me.

I once set off the fire alarm in a Holiday Inn at 3AM and sprayed all the guests with a fire extinguisher as they assembled in the lobby before running off in to the night.

I'm from Mexico, my family and I got stopped at a checkpoint controlled by a cartel. They were stopping eveyone to make sure no rival cartels were in town. They didn't do anything to us, just asked my dad/mom some basic question about work and where we lived. they said we 'didn't have to worry' becUse they were protecting their turn and their people. that was 15 yrs ago,

since then the rival cartel slowely took over the city and they are a bunch of shits, they kill anyone they want when ever they want. they are basically terrorists, at least the other group let you move on as long as you didn't mess with them and their drug business.

p.s. it was scary as shit to have a bunch of people with guns surrounding your car waiting to see what your answer is

About a year ago I saw the local junkie with a wheelbarrow checking out people's back yards including mine, my friend caught the junkie trying to steal metals and electric cabling from his backyard and beat him up.
He overdosed shortly after....

and my brother once (with me) stole a monitor from walmart he literally just opened the box and took it out
i guess we didn't get confronted because it looked like we were bringing back a used monitor

My Acura RSX Type-S got stolen last year at school (45 minutes from Philadelphia), and was found days later in Queens, New York City with the engine and transmission gone. Department of Sanitation had already crushed the car when I got the call from the police

i live in 'crime capital of canada' as they called it, meaning it was the city with the highest crime per capita. Not sure if it is anymore, hopefully not.

so i still live next to the elementary school i used to go to and there are 3 very distinct crackhouses surrounding it, one of which has been found out & shut down. I was recently offered hard drugs in said school too. kinda creepy seeing as I very rarely go there anymore.

my neighbor had his house broken into, robbed, and his wife tied up & beat. Most likely gang related.

my other neighbor consists of a drug addicted father & son living off their grandmas money, basically kinda waiting for her to die to get the house since the dad got kicked out of his own. Looks like a trailer park

When I was young we used to throw rocks into traffic, we busted one guys window and he drove up to where we were and tried to run us over while we ran home

I think the crime/capita is so high because a lot of serial killers come up here. Like on the news there was a bunch of shoes with cut off feet in them washing ashore for some reason and the whole highway of tears thing. It's really not that crazy though, especially not as crazy as vancouver that place scares me. Most likely because there is so few people.
