I actually watch these videos pretty much every day. This guy had made some pretty funny/interesting videos before he started doing daily vlogs. Had an HBO show too.

He really cleverly does a whole bunch of things every episode. Some aerial/time-lapse cinematography, some travel, some cute baby videos, some business talk, etc. So a lot of people are interested in at least 1 thing that happens each video. I personally watch it because the dude lives a relatively eventful life and it can be fun to follow along with that stuff. The video you linked is a perfect example. He tours a ridiculous, 20k-a-night hotel room then goes and flies some racing drones, before climbing down the side of a cliff to recover one of the drones. Top it off with some lovely time lapses of San Francisco, and you've got a super interesting few minutes imo.
