I used to row back in high school so I always watch the rowing events during the Summer Games. Plus a really good friend of mine's brother is racing in the Lightweight Men's Four. Other than rowing, I always love watching the weightlifting events. Any other sport I should keep an eye out for?

I quite enjoy watching the Judo/Diving/Gymnastics, I'll probably try to tune into some of that. Badminton and tennis too if I'm not doing something else.

The real olympics discussion is about why the fuck is skateboard going to be part of them in 2020

as someone that did track and field in high school (and almost in college until I injured one of my knees), I'm always excited to see how those events go. I caught the collegiate championships while I was on a cruise last but wasn't really rooting for anyone since my school wasn't in the finals.

but I've been hearing about a lot of issues with sanitation stuff (like the water quality) so I hope that doesn't play a factor in how some athletes (mainly the swimmers) do.

I want Justin Gatlin to get destroyed in the sprinting events. Even though he competing for the US, Gatlin has been caught doping multiple times yet people are still cheering for him over Bolt, despite Bolt not being caught doping a single time.

P.S.
Race Walking needs to be taken out of the Olympics. There are so many more legitimate sports that carry more importance than Race Walking, and even the name Race Walking is a MASSIVE turnoff. There are also a ton of 'strict' rules regarding the form for race walking, but if you slow down basically any video of a race walk and have a clear angle, you can see that race walkers are literally just jogging with REALLY high cadence (cadence = how many times your feet hit the ground in a minute) because they don't always have one foot on the ground.

their goal is to get more young people to watch by including that and surfing and it worked, im checking that out in Tokyo 2020

First of all skateboarding is barely a sport. Also as opposed to most olympic games if you aren't at all experienced with skateboarding it won't look interesting but that mostly depends on what kind of skateboarding they will have. It can be the one with massive ramps and shit that is definately impressive or it can be flatground skating which will only be impressive to flatground skaters and should really not be in the olympics. At least it's not golf.
