fahrenheitairblasted rockets + grenades shouldnt be minicrits
im already almost guaranteed to be directed with the projectile w/ little effort produced from the attacker, why make it 130 damage
If he's at your face and you shoot before he airblasts that's your fault, the minicrits aren't a problem in my opinion.
Also something that nobody mentioned is the scorch shot, nothing has made me angrier than a scorch shot-spamming retard in a pub. And it's not even a good weapon. Close range it's shit compared to other secondaries and long range all it does is annoy the enemy that has to go heal. So its only purpose is to annoy people.

Yeah it is my fault if I shoot him in close range
I'm already being punished by taking a guaranteed direct that he does not have to aim + further damage from being in his range, why should the projectile be a minicrit
It's too rewarding for simply pressing a button and having the game aim for you

1. get rid of crits and minicrits from the flare gun and airblasts
2. smaller airblast cone
3. less damage on flamethrowers, but a bit stronger afterburn DPS
4. LG

Complete rework of this class...
I want LG to happen, that idea has potential to make Pyro a real skill-based competitive class - but I don't think it'll happen. It would be insane to expect Valve to be available to make such drastic changes to the core mechanics of any class, even though it's the best way to go with pyro for sure.
Assuming this flamethrower stays, get the bugfixes in so it's at least consistent, bring back the normal degreaser switch speeds, remove stunlock from airblast and make its cone more consistent and a bit tighter, and remove the flamethrower blocking healing thing they added in MYM because that's pointless and annoying. That should be it for an okay update. (ah and nerf the reserve shooter I almost forgot)
For new weapon just give him the widowmaker feeding off primary ammo, that'd be great.

My only gripe with this website is how it doesn't mention at all how stupid it is that airblast nullifies momentum
Edit: Reading the "letter", they're also complaining that pyros take minicrits from reflected projectiles. Really, if they're going to "fix" this they might as well not turn reflected projectiles into minicrits in first place.

when you shoot a rocket in the opposite direction of a pyro he shouldn't be able to airblast it back into you
also that frompyrowithlove website is a bunch of pyro mains complaining that the class needs buffs, they don't care about any of the retarded/unfair/buggy mechanics

Pretty much. They're also complaining on that website that "reflected projectiles explode on nearby friendly buildings", when all projectiles aren't able to go through friendly buildings or allies on long range.

featherslg-esque flamethrower with limited range less damage the farther from the flame's source you are
fix airblast
Would there be afterburn on this? Never heard anyone justify whether they think it fits or not. I am of the opinion the answer is no.

Magikarp1. get rid of crits and minicrits from the flare gun and airblasts
2. smaller airblast cone
3. less damage on flamethrowers, but a bit stronger afterburn DPS
4. LG
From this, I mainly just wanted a way for both the competitive community and the r/tf2 community satisfied.
The comp community feels that the class is no fun and bullshit to play against with it's dirty free crits and airblast size. So we get rid of those and add some skill(the LG cause aim). Also I'm that annoying dude in lobbies that plays pyro defense(which probably doesn't mean much), and from what I gathered, the hardest thing to do is to even get flames onto the enemy scout/soldier. So it helps to nerf the damage from flames directly, but give it a decently strong afterburn so that the pyro's death will be worth some decent damage. This might help it become more viable as a defense and a fair balance.
The thing that I hate most from r/tf2 is how they usually want Pyro to be viable and have an answer to ALL situations. I think tweaking Pyro to a more "playable and balanced" state for both competitive and pubs should be fine. Also I don't know much about that flamethrower mojo shit, but fixing whatever is broken would be great to come out of this update.

maybe lower the base damage but instead promote tracking by having the lg's direct damage deal more if you keep on tracking for a longer time? like have the damage proportional to the time you keep your crosshair or track the player. of course tightening the spread on the flames would be needed. this could possibly replacement for the "damage over time" mechanic
also maybe have the damage ramp-up reset after a certain interval of time after letting go or missing

I like how that sounds. Tighten the spread and make it have a longer range.
About afterburn, scale it up the longer you hit the enemy (or only set the enemy on fire after a set amount of time of sustained damage) and/or make it only happen if you hit the enemy at very close range.

At least make an attempt at fixing pyro instead of just giving him a bunch of likely broken weapons... please.

Removing afterburn completely would be weird from a design POV, not to mention that a buttload of items have stats based on burning targets in some way. Although what you'd do with flare guns etc if pyro went LG is up for debate.
Scaling afterburn damage with direct damage dealt sounds good, though.

Could someone please explain what is wrong with my idea about giving the pyro a separate slot for shotguns and flaregun? I don't mean to sound butthurt, id just like to know what I'm not seeing.
