You seem to have this cute idea that this game is paid attention to by more then like a handful of people, of whom probably only work on the game in their off-time from other projects. All of the information about why this shit is stupid is already floating around and isn't uncommon knowledge. We don't need to kill a season of comp so somebody at valve who won't even watch/understand the matches can learn why shit is broken. If valve wanted to re-balance things, they have tons of resources including invite players (who would probably LOVE a chance to talk to devs)

I was looking forward to this season of esea. I finally found a group of gamers I had fun playing with and scrims were going really well. Guess I can't have fun this season :(

Scrims were honestly horrible. I can't see myself playing with weapons like the base jumper, rescue ranger, atomizer, jarate, and cow mangler unbanned. It's chaos.

To be honest most of the unbanned unlocks aren't gonna cause any issues, they were already tested in ETF2L and it was fine. But whitelisting stuff like Atomizer, Natascha and Rescue Ranger is not a good idea.

Weapons that I'd probably have the most concern over being allowed since the atomiser and base jumper have been allowed are probably rescue ranger and loch n load. Rescue ranger might not be so bad since the wrangler isn't allowed but it's definitely a straight upgrade to the offclass at what it already does, holding last.

Loch n Load is a much bigger deal than I think most people think it is. The speed difference is much more significant than for say the direct hit, as you can't rely on rollers for damage like you can splash and grenades don't get falloff, so you can deal 100 to people very consistently from long range where you couldn't with pipes. Having 3 grenades in clip is a significant downgrade but imo the projectile speed upgrade almost completely offsets the lack of rollers and splash from a spam perspective because it makes the grenades significantly harder to dodge in a chokepoint.

Honestly scrims were pretty awful today (one of the things I came to enjoy about 6s was how non-cluttered it was, and with every soldier running the cowmang with its awful-looking lazor beems and off-classes it certainly felt a lot more cluttered and, well... a lot like HL, which I left, partially because it was so cluttered). But I imagine that after a while the lazor weapon meme is going to pass and people might start settling down.

I mean. I guess I don't want to act like it's the end of the world because there are pretty valid reasons for wanting to try this, but it just kind of blows that it's happening during my first real season of 6s when I was just beginning to feel comfortable on my new class. =/

Also lower-level 6s are going to be a total shit-show.
