My nexus 5x is having the rebooting issue and won't load up at all. I tried everything and I even talked to customer support and the only way to fix it is to send it to them. I'm going to be getting a new phone anyways soon, but I can't access my texts or anything in regards to the steam authentication process. Does anyone know any way I could login to my steam account while fixing this issue without a phone?
edit - I should of posted this in the q/a thread rip

Try using this help link on steam. You should also have a steam recovery code - not sure if you saved it (which you can use to remove the authenticator on your steam account).

Umm if you get a spare or new phone and activate your cell number on it, won't you then get mobile auth texts since you own your number?

This is true for GSM, not at all the case for CDMA.

Can't you disable the mobile authenticator through your email, by going back to the first email you got asking if it was your phone that got authenticated and clicking no or something?
