BBiA_duchessEven thought double med would be annoying, simply implementing a class limit of two would be very helpful. It would be so easy too

This is valve. Every time they announce an update that's what goes through my head

samifaceIf they're reasonable Valve will discover what we've known for a long time, which is that our version of 6v6 is literally the most fun you can have in a videogame.
And all dozen of us that are left by 2027 to see that moment will feel the sweet sweet joys of developer support.
I don't think the issue is that they view existing community 6s as unfun. It's that it puts more than half of the classes on the sidelines majority of the time, and they'd rather try to rebalance the entire game to change that than they would embrace the existing balance. Which is both noble and foolish goal.
Remember that our 6s settled based on what we're forced to work with. They have the power to completely retool classes for a new purpose. The only catch is that they more than likely won't be making any drastic class changes which will, like you say, lead to a similar conclusion of what type of 6s is best suited for the game. One would hope they'll use all this worktime to change the game enough to warrant such a wait. But if the pyro update releases and all they did was fix flamethrower particles and tack on a few new weapons, then we know they really don't want to try too hard.

since they keep refusing to support the current version of 6´s, i´m guessing the next "logical" step for them would be class limit 1 opening possibilities for the other classes to join the mix, it will be better than the current iteration but still a fail as we all know
what i struggle to understand is why are they asking this only now, when they´ve supposedly been working on this for years ? ...... must be the usual valve work methods ..
and why were some voice lines introduced like the soldier saying who´s pocket or roamer, and yet the stubborn refusal to support the current meta ?

lmao, that's never occurred to me, that's hilarious. Classic Valve lip service

I feel confident in saying that the only reason the polls are there is to have the players think they're listening. We've all heard the phrase "Gathering some data" spoken in relation to Valve for so long that I don't believe they're actually doing anything with the results.
They've done it before. Remember when they implemented that system where you'd get a notification if someone got banned for getting reported? I don't know if people even get those notifications any more, but I feel like that system was implemented solely so people think the TF team are listening.

I think according to sigsev's video we should be noticing a pretty big difference

you realize the hitboxes always lag behind right? The hitboxes in the video aren't showing for interpolation. If you watch closely you'll see the hitboxes moving the wrong way period (mostly with the legs), the biggest fuck imo is the heavy where when the heavy is moving right and head leans right the hitboxes are leaning left instead so if you did actually aim at the heavies head and clicked you would hit nothing or at best his shoulder.

I was never able to reproduce this issue to the point where I was wondering if the server/player had bugged out, glad to know its fixed and things will feel more consistent now.
(The secret class selection order they didn't want you to know)
