Every time a new version of a map is released it takes ages to update, and I'm not blaming you guys.
Bagel and sunshine always gets banned in EU and reckoner gets banned because it's not the latest version. Would be cool if we could have a more dynamic pool of maps, and update more frequently. This could maybe be done by teaching some people how to do it (admins?) and they could. Also, on the topic of admins, EU could use a couple more. (trusted and active players)
I don't know how time-intensive the process is or if it puts server security on stake but it's something you should look into.

bleghfarecsmziseveral people added me the last couple of days getting the same error upon logging in. "you are not authorized to use this service". All of them have vacbans on different games but not in tf2. Please look into that aswell.

PugChamp rulesDo not attempt to obtain and/or utilize unfair advantages against other players. Cheating is a serious violation of competitive integrity and cannot be tolerated — players with a history of cheating may be barred from play, and suspected cheaters may be indefinitely suspended until further review.
I talked to nursery about it and she said that she would unban me, she removed the ban that said "please contact an admin" but not the "you are not authorized to use this service" message. Even though I proved that I didn't cheat

I wanna preface this saying that it's a great site and I obviously don't expect you to work on it 24/7 when you have other obligations in life. That said, it's been ~9 months since elo and the win-loss statistics have been removed from the site and I'm guessing the work on the new system has been put to a halt a while ago (I could be wrong). About 5 months ago I saw a post (http://etf2l.org/forum/community/topic-33780/) from GentlemanJon where he says he couldn't use the stats since you had other plans for them. Not sure how the stats are stored, but is this still a thing or would it be possible for you guys to release like a barebones version of the stats? Elo was fairly controversial, but can we at least have the win-loss statistics back?
can pugchamp please change the sub system?
right now the method is highest elo who applied gets the sub (from my experience, it has always been the best player who applied but let me know if i'm wrong) but that's super flawed since a team could've subbed their player out only to get someone clearly better/worse than the original pick
instead of this, i'd prefer something along the lines of the player closest in skill to the original pick get subbed in instead which is flawed because someone of much better/worse skill can come in if the traffic on pugchamp isn't that high, however, it's a bit easier to implement
one way to fix that however is by having a range of elo that can apply to the sub spot but that's also flawed because if traffic isn't too great, it'd be harder to come across a sub AND then the question of where you'd set the range for this before skill level is too drastic
sorry for the essay but i've been having some bad rng for the most part in terms of subs ever since coming back

The way the sub system is going to be changed as far as I know is based on how often you play with particular players. Something along the lines of the top three players that you play the most with in pugs (that applied for the sub) will be shown to you and you can pick one of the three. That way if someone applies for the sub that probably isn't suited to play that particular pug, there's a lesser chance of them being the person that gets it.

The main issues with maps is that they have to be distributed to each of the game servers we have as well as to fastDL, after which the website configs have updated and the site restarted. Overall, it's a time-consuming process that also can only be done by trusted and knowledgeable people because it requires access to the site's server (which is dangerous in itself).
In the future, I'm hoping to streamline the process so that maps can be uploaded a single time and automatically distributed to all servers, as well as making the configs editable via the web so that we can safely give access to staff members to manage the site in our stead.

Unfortunately, the problem with stats has rapidly become the database itself, which has grown so massive that recalculating stats (even as simple as win-loss record) takes significant resources, which has contributed to some performance problems lately and led to us completely disabling that system in hopes of avoiding instability.
Stats are a focus of ours with the new platform, however, and I am putting in a lot of thought and effort into creating a system that accurately reflects player skill, including having a better understanding of player performance within a match and being able to more accurately compare two players.
Geknaiircan pugchamp please change the sub system?
The method right now is actually supposed to be closest rating to the original player, so it's odd that it seems like only high-rated players are coming in. I'll take a look at it but I don't think there's much I can do in the current system.
In the future, the idea is to use a better set of metrics to decide who gets substitution spots. It's likely that the system will take into account how frequently a player is in a game with other players, as Jarrett said, as well as the new skill metrics I briefly touched on before. We also hope to allow captains to choose from a pool of players narrowed down from those who apply to the sub spot rather than being assigned a sub automatically.

Please do this it it will save so many headaches of people stealing subs or subbing into pugs they dont belong into

from what i was aware it also took variation on player skill into account, so players with lower variation (generally better players) were more likely to be picked

smesisomething about how like the draft stat pie chart triggers me because like its dumb that like 2nd and 3rd picks are treated different in the pie chart cuz they're basically the same thing. same with the 4/5th pick, 6/7th pick etc.

When captains don't pick players in time they receive a ban for the next draft and cannot play, because they failed to pick fast enough. That should prevent killing pugs to play in the winning team or playing with mates.
Also choosing one player as a buddy would be a cool feature to see like it was in tf2pickup, ... you can only pick a buddy when a you are signing up for med and playing med

I'd just like to point out that when cereal got mumble admin and gave it to a friend who then used it to ban b4nny and link the channels cereal was banned for 3 months. Whereas saam, an actual mumble admin can ban cereal and I from mumble in the middle of a pug for no reason and get no ban for it.
