Edit: I have been informed that there are additional Valve servers not listed on the in-game menu. If you know of any please leave them below so we can create a more complete map, thanks!
So I made 2 maps of the official Valve servers. The first one is just a world map with each location, and the second has a 2,000 Km bubble around each one to help indicate how far you can live from the server and still get decent ping.

Map With Bubbles (Note: Bubbles appear to be different sizes do to map distortion): https://imgur.com/a/XAZuH
Open to suggestions :)

What is the 2000 kilometer bubble based off of, and what is considered decent ping? There are a lot more variables to latency than just geographical location.

I picked 2,000 because it's about the distance from Toronto to Dallas which is about as far as I can connect while still getting under 60 ping. I understand that more goes into it then that but I can't really calculate all that for every person and this is kinda the next best thing.

just btw you missed Washington servers. I frequently get connected to them because I live in BC Canada.

Are you sure there's casual Washington servers? The in game list doesn't show them. Maybe you're thinking of match making?

Decently sure, because I get connected to them sometimes too, especially if I'm partying up with a Canadian friend.

Even I've gotten into Washington servers during really bad ping nights when my ISP goes to shit, and i'm from spain so.

Yes I’m connected to them all the time. I also get connected to LA servers. I get 15 and 45 scoreboard ping to them respectively

Okay I've added it. Do you know the city?

presumably bellevue (which is just a suburb of seattle) since that's where valve is headquartered

What is the purpose of this? I thought ping depended upon ISP's routing rather than geographical area. I get 90ms ping in Singapore Servers, 175ms in German Servers and get 250ms in mumbai while connected from Kathmandu(nepal).

I believe it's both

The main factors determining latency from point A to point B, is the distance the route takes, how many hops there are, the port speeds involved, congestion (not just bandwidth in general but the shear number of packets per second as well at each hop), and the medium in which the signal travels.

Okay I changed it to Bellevue.
Anyone know of any other unlisted servers?

This is why b4nny is so salty about his 70 ping because he used to actually get 5.

Apparently, India has been the mecca of low latency all this time.

im pretty sure the washington servers are in wenatchee, not bellevue. i live 3 minutes from bellevue and i would get 5 ping if they were in bellevue, not 20-25
if you check your ping to servers in console, it brings up EAT for washingotn im pretty sure, which is an airport code for wenatchee which is in the middle of WA
