#50 ETF2L Season 23 details emerge as signups open in News

ownage squad seem to qualify the least out of the candidates, given that I haven't seen a positive result against a Prem team (or potential, like Infused) in scrims, have no official results against Prem teams, and they have little Prem experience.

adyskyTo be honest ddf5 only lost to publicir because of gravelpit and the overall game was 4-5, other than that ddf5 is on par if not better than publicir. Also we couldnt sign up for the cup because our team didnt even exist back when it started. It just seems very unprofessional to advance teams solely on "they look better on paper"

Just make the playoffs longer than 3 days, it just means more matches to spectate and more action going on, it also puts all the teams on the same starting line

Saying ddf5 "only lost because of gravelpit" when it's in a cup full of new maps and is the only map you can't just freestyle is total shit. They lost, same as PlEx did, because Publiclir have more experienced and intelligent players, and it shows on Gpit because it's different. PlEx bodied them with their synergy and teamfights on the koth/5cp maps because they can pugscrim style it, ddf5 didn't because they don't have the huge DM/teamwork advantage.

Creating your team right before the Season and expecting all the teams with more time to prepare and organise themselves to be set back down to your level is also ridiculous. If you want to get into Prem no problem, then form with weeks to spare and prove yourselves. Don't ask that other teams who did the work get dragged down with you to the playoffs.

And how are you assessing that ddf5 are better than Publiclir.se if they lost to them when it mattered in the tiny sample we have of their games so far?

EDIT: At the end of the day if you win your games in the Playoffs you will be Prem. You'd have to finish bottom/2nd from bottom in the playoffs to go into High in either situation, so if you do deserve to be in Prem you will have ample opportunity either way.

Those teams who wanted to prove themselves signed up for the Preseason Cup. Planet Express have shown they are capable against Prem teams and deserve a slot, and Publiclir kinda have as well.

ddf5 finished below the other two in the cup, and alongside ownage squad and Infused have far less experience and talent on paper.

That's not to say they'll be better in practise, but a 5/6 team playoff is daft for 4 slots and I think the admins should use a bit of judgement to separate the teams into two groups.

EDIT: I say "daft", what I mean is time-consuming, arduous and unnecessary.

sheepy_dogs_handSideshowThe reason nobody is answering is because we don't know the answer to the exact structure of the playoffs. If someone knew they'd tell you.
Then why did nuze reply to my posts acting like he did know. Was he mixed up with another playoff? (maybe he thought I was talking about the end of season playoffs, at this point I wouldn't be surprised). Was he just trying to epic trolle me? He said he knew but he would have to "break down this post and explain everything". I don't know where he is coming from and what point he is trying to make. I asked a simple question and he is pretending to know the answer yet not saying anything about what it is. I'm so confused.

You post with such little coherence sometimes that it's difficult to tell what you're talking about. Your first post was hard to decode, so I think nuze assumed you were asking about how many teams potentially were in the Prem playoff runnings.

The reason nobody is answering is because we don't know the answer to the exact structure of the playoffs. If someone knew they'd tell you. There are 4 confirmed Prem teams and around 5/6 potential Prem teams.

I would estimate 3 teams in the playoffs and 2 shoved straight in, that's how I'd do it. ownage squad vs. ddf5 vs. Infused in playoffs.

That doesn't actually excuse the fact that this is unacceptable though. It's more understandable but it's still unacceptable. Show us the money Mr Black!

kaneLooks like decent team, really excited to see it play
Does anybody have any rumor about russian teams this season?

Most of them are playing OW, I don't think there's a russian prem team.

Hopefully this doesn't mark the fall of the French scene with ESHOCK, Awsomniac, and now top5 gone within a few months. VIVE LA FRANCE.

There isn't a medic currently that would fit PlEx. They should try to persuade an intelligent combat-classer to offclass and lead the team from medic.

CSGO is getting pretty large, even in the context of these other big staples of the esports scene. I would be really surprised if they don't add it within the year.
