I haven't watched any of i52 because of other things I needed to do and the grand final is too early/late. rip

#22 Exertus eSports is no more in TF2 General Discussion
BenroadsExertus eSports is no more. This is, however, far from the end. The essence of the organization will live on under a new banner: that of eLevate eSports. First of all the nature of this transition should be explained- that which constitutes Exertus currently: its teams, its management hierarchy and all of its achievements will all transfer intact into eLevate, meaning that in practice at face value there will be no difference between Exertus and eLevate except for the name itself. Furthermore the current CEO of eLevate will be taking the role of COO in the revamped organization, with our very own Brandon "MaDDoG" Hatfield retaining the reins in the CEO chair. This will be the only management addition.

#18 60 fps website in Videos
turtsmcgurtsMightyMeNot_MatlockRender your videos at 30 fps and half speed. Upload to Youtube and tell the viewers to play it at 2x speed.

Boom, 60fps.

I know of this technique but honestly only 1 % of all viewers will do this.

and it's dumb to begin with. sure do love fake 60 fps, like those "60FPS" teasers youtube released.

Pretty sure those trailers ARE 60 fps. In fact, I believe they're the only 60 fps videos on Youtube currently.

I think "Seattle Strykers" would sound better than the non-plural version you're currently using.

#32 Best ISP in TF2 General Discussion
omzfios is really good if you have the cash for it

but as they say pick 2
cheap
stable
fast

Unless you can get Google Fiber. Unless you don't consider $70 cheap, even though it is for what you get.

#8 3d 120hz? in Hardware
DavidTheWinhookyIf the 3D monitor is cheaper then go for it, just make sure it's actually a 120Hz monitor. Some 60Hz monitors support 3D.

With 3D you can use Lightboost, which allows for better motion clarity. You do get some input lag with it on though, so I wouldn't recommend it for playing any FPS.

Lightboost shouldn't add any input lag. All it does is strobe the backlight in time with the monitor refresh.

There was a whole thread that was either about it or went on a tangent. Basically, there is a small amount of input lag. Monitors are supposedly pushed to their limits in Lightboost mode, so that might be why there's input lag.

Let me find that thread...

Edit: Here http://teamfortress.tv/thread/19441/asus-144hz-for-250/?page=1

Since Lightboost was never really meant for 2D use, they probably didn't worry about it being lag-free. Since Nvidia's working on a 2D Lightboost official feature, I'd assume this is being worked on.
