25 is fine for video games, hell 5 is plenty
it's not really enough for anything else in the 21st century but you can get by on it
Tholei did not vote for anyone, so i lack the same bias that surrounds me it seems.
you're part of the problem
if you're on windows 8 or above borderless windowed mode causes some extra input lag
if you're on windows 7 and have disabled aero there shouldnt be any extra input lag
framerates are slightly lower on windowed borderless no matter what you do, though, but it's barely noticeable (like 210 vs 220)
lucrativethe 5cp meta is fine and everyone who thinks that stalemates are a result of the game mode you're just wrong. Trying to force stalemates out of the meta is a lost cause considering it is a strategy that was developed by players, not by the design of he gamemode (this is why 10 minute stalemate timer is included in the gamemode).
This entire post irks me because it's demonstrably wrong. Just go look at Overwatch's game design -- note that by design there is never going to be a situation where it's in both teams' best interest to not push. They must have realised that it was an issue in tf2, the game they were ripping off heavily inspired by, and they took steps to ensure it wouldn't ruin their game. If only Valve were as proactive.
why not increase the size of the map pool? is it really that bad if some maps only get played once a season while others get played twice?
process, via, snake, gully, reckoner, sunshine, badlands, bagel, logjam are all competitively viable maps, there might be a couple more as well. would it be such a bad thing to have a map pool of 9 or even 11 maps? It would be good to get it consistent across regions as well, so we don't have issues like teams having to play reckoner/metalworks etc at big lans without having ever played them
SidularThe Nintendo Switch launch has been taken greatly out of proportion. When the PS4 launched with the blue light of death, everyone said it was DOA. When the Xbox One launched with disc drive issues, everyone again said it was DOA. Now the Switch is out, and it's having some issues as well.
Noticing a trend here?
yeah consoles suck
that's what you meant, right?
SpaceCadetIf you want to practice airshots on surfing targets, play endif or spire
recommending the two most garbage mge maps nice
spire airshots are barely airshots because they're just trying to get up to your level, endif is just... what the fuck who even thought it up it's so unlike anything else in this game that it's just a waste of time
GoaskAliceuninstall and realise how good i am at rocket jumping without using my mouse i use only keyboard still get 12+ kills on tf2center
Process
Snakewater
Gullywash
Sunshine
Reckoner
Viaduct
Badlands
Granary
i'm au, bite me
we use the same pool as the euros anyway
+1 for old hud here
FUNKeThey're going to dillute the meta to be more casual friendly no matter what, and I doubt they even want to. But it's the only way you're ever going to convince people to play 6s in their hat simulator when most players can't grasp the concept of a meta as it exists already. I think appeasing a wider scale playerbase is better for growth, so long as it keeps the core aspects of 6s in tact.
There is no meta at the skill level we are talking about. Scout, soldier and demoman only become vastly superior to the other classes at relatively high skill levels. johnnypyromain can play perma engi in matchmaking all he wants and he will do absolutely fine -- the trouble is, of course, that matchmaking DOESN'T WORK right now so this discussion is completely moot.
sage78In a way, they did more harm than good.
There's no 'in a way'. Valve's shitty matchmaking has certainly done more harm than good.
MikeMatIm sure this is asking too much but if this weren't valve I doubt it would be hard to have the game test the players connection and apply appropriate net settings on first launch.
appropriate net settings are the standard competitive ones for about 95% of players why not just use those
valve are just too lazy to change the important shit while they fuck around making useless gamemodes like mannpower
toads_tfidk why you'd play scout when theres engi theyre basically the same but one has an aimbot.......
maybe he wants to win
