oh man
now what really makes me mad is that most of my "very good"s had less contrast than the "perfect" ones.
shlanerPurpleeeeeeeeI don't really like turbine because imo scouts just take the crates and shoot you twice if you jump at them. or you're on the floor and get spammed instantly :CI don't really know what you said but badlands has two crates that scouts can stand, granary has 4 giant crates, process-- oh wait every mid has some sort of height advantage
it always feels as though if a scout gets on the crates (which aren't that high), you have to airshot him twice to kill him.. Which you rarely have time for, seeing as something will kill you from behind D:
badlands is literally the only one comparable to turbine and turbine has that plus the visibility problems of granary
turbine is neat but it's a lot better at 6 or 8 players than 10
that's isn't to say it's bad, in fact a lot of other dm maps are worse than it
#7: the server would need a mod to make it impossible to use that exploit, iirc
I don't know what this means for live streaming, it would probably take up more processing power to encode until there's an optimized live encoder made for it like happened with x264. If there's a good enough one right off the bat though I can see people jumping right over to the new standard as soon as streaming sites support it, and it would be great.
tf2's devs are designers, none of them seem to be making any kind of push to cater towards tf2's hardcore players in general at all.
The server can restrict cl_interp_ratio, which causes an effective minimum interp, but there's no way to prevent interping as CSS players know it. Source engine uses the minimum between cl_interp_ratio and cl_interp in ms. There's a L4D2 oriented sourcemod plugin that makes an announcement whenever someone changes interp during a match, though, and what values they're switching with. Using aggressive interp_ratio restrictions (setting the max to 1) just punishes people who expect one interp but get another, which totally changes their hitreg.
yeah i've been getting the same problem with them then, i don't know if there's a fix aside from switching services
it's a different thing on the ISP's end where they handle your connection
your net's getting aggressively throttled then, talk to your isp about it
try lowering your cmd/update rates to 40 and use cl_interp 0.025 and 0.05 in place of the 0.0152 and 0.033 ones, also lower whatever the bandwidth setting is
if that doesn't help, look into improving your internet connection in general, whether it means getting your ISP to stop being gay or paying for a higher tier

I didn't say I have pov demos that still work, I said that before the update pov demos kept compatibility between updates more than replays did.
