Finally the truth been told.
try telling that to the handful of open scouts that say otherwise

input delay does not necessarily mean it puts you at a disadvantage if the net gain is greater than the net loss

det-what is nullmovement?
with regular movement binds:
walk right, hold it down. now also hold down left. it cancels out and you stand still
nullmovement:
walk right, hold it down. now also hold down left. it overrides and you start walking left
the theory is that if you misstime letting go off a key you won't stand still when you meant to switch directions.
I've used it for like half of my TF2 playtime. In practise it will not make a noticeable difference.
Nullmovement is achieved using a couple of command aliases that you bind WASD to

Yeah I'd still use null movement, it was just a neat fact I thought I'd bring up in conversation. The amount of input delay it adds is so small compared to the benefits and the possible increase in responsiveness due to brain/finger delay for releasing keys :)

can someone give an actual number for the input delay? cuz if it's a few mil seconds then literally who cares, you're never going to notice, which i'm assuming is going to be the case considering the amount of people that use it and have never had an issue
