- visa and mastercard dropped support of pornhub a while back (edit: following backlash of the platform being accused of human trafficking and hosting illegal content)
- all unverified users (or just uploaders?) are being banned
- over 10 million videos are being removed
- you can still appeal if you're an unverified uploader (getting verified to save your content if it belongs to you?)
The site was made to get money through ads on stolen content whilst stalling the removal of said content.
It's a logical step considering the law is starting to adapt to the internet.
They've also been dealing with illegal content being uploaded. This will partially avoid more lawsuits/backlash (though verified users have uploaded exactly what you'd expect before)

A necessary change. There was a lot of exploitive, illegal, and damaging content was on that site and it is a travesty that this did not happen sooner.
