Why don't we just do a 6v6 / 9v9 EU vs NA, two-day, girls-only team cup?
1 day on EU servers, the next on NA
Could help ease the anonymity of girls playing comp
Also could give TF2 coverage outside the gaming community

YeeHawHow would either team win with 6 medics?
i was about to comment why this would be a bad idea but i guess i don't need to now

edit: this was a joke about certain people in the community really liking drama/controversy, in hindsight its in poor taste and i apologize.

Would there even be enough girl players to fill up two teams that could face each other, play their main, and the skill disparity wouldn't be drastic across all the teammates?
hugs.tf already had a showmatch like this years ago, but it's not a bad idea by any means to bring it back to this year now

Actually I thought anonymity meant something else, what I really mean is just making it more comfortable and accessible to play in a less toxic environment

Making it a big deal with a "women-only team" cup is the thing that will attract trolls and idiots alike, good luck and have fun moderating that Twitch chat.

given that female esports already happens in every other esport and gets like 5% of the viewers of regular events i doubt it would get tf2 coverage in the mainstream lmao

I never really understood separating men and women in competitive video games, it just undermines the women that actually succeed in this "boys club" that most competitive games are perceived as, and also gives opportunity for misogyns and transphobes to complain. Either making fun of women, or saying it's unfair trans women can participate.
