if etf2l is siding with prem player opinions in the first place, why asking about the general audience about an opinion at all if it doesn't matter anyway?
siding with people who have the most of experience in the game and best understanding of it in a competitive setting is fair (actually i was enforcing this idea when i was an etf2l league admin myself) but this was a spit in the face of people who thought they could make a change by voting, eventually getting their votes disregarded
i guess etf2l wanted to see an opinion of the community but i feel like it was potrayed in a way if they choose A and it gets majority it just gets applied, i think you get this already

the rest is just one-sided opinion and as others said bad faith arguments about the changes being made, because the arguments why the change is being made was presented in the post update, but then people just forget it was made in some post some months ago and think all of these whitelist changes are shoved from someone's ass while all of them are result of some problematic situation or aspect in the game which had its own spotlight in the past like playing with double backpack or idk vaccinator (very old ban)

and that is a viewpoint which is repeated by cringetopians who can't develop an opinion of their own based on some actual competitive experience, so they take his takes as their own which eventually creates a bad look for competitive overall

When I was in NC, I was top scoring in a pub and he started shit talking so he inevitably checked my profile and saw my NC badge called me a fucking "compie" and to stop """sandbagging""" in pubs lmfao. Him and his most active fanbase use it as if it's a slur. It's honestly pathetic. I've seen them genuinely complain that the competitive community is also responsible for ruining the HUD making scene because we generally go for minimalistic looks.

First of all I'd like to apologize, this video was not supposed to be a hit piece or a boycott of the league.
I wrongly painted the comp and top players as 'evil people' for lack of better wording, and made a wrong assumption of how the league thinks.

Although I still agree with what I had to say in the video I admit that I poorly worded various points I made in my video.
In one of the first comments I had I replied that I was open to being wrong, this sadly got drowned out by cheer amount of commenters.

For example the "is the market garden unbeatable" wasn't meant to be me making the point for unbanning the MG.
Something that I also worded poorly is that "Lower division players should be treated equally as experienced players"
Obviously in the context of voting this is not a good idea.

I'd like to apologize again for my statements, I didn't realize what kind of damage I could or have done by making such a emotional, mean video.

I do also agree with what a lot of the people had to say in my comment section (mainly the people that are actually prem or similar).
For the title of the video "The ugliest of competitive TF2" yes this is a bad title, people are arguing that I should have been talking about "the history of nonces, rapists and cheaters plaguing the game"
This is obviously the ugliest side of competitive TF2, however this is not for me to talk about, this is either for the law or the admin team as I am not informed on this side of the league.
I have changed the title to "My issues with competitive TF2"

I was very frustrated with how the league was managed and that everything seemed to be word of mouth.
I love ETF2L and Competitive and I want it to change for the better.
I did not mean to create a fucking reddit comment section on my video of all the people blaming competitive for the current state (casual) tf2 is in.
I hope my video can still be used as healthy discussion about transparency and or trying some new things.

The nba is so boring. They need to get rid of 3 in the key rule and allow REAL defensive strategies.
No way I’m the only person that thinks this. The fact that teams can’t even play proper zone defense because the nba wants a more “entertaining” version of the game is bs. But that’s exactly what it is. An alternate version of the game. I could care less about watching 120 point games, where players get easy ass driving lanes all night cause bigs can’t properly guard the key the way they were intended to when the game was invented. I want to see these millionaires play REAL basketball. Playing against lebron’s mediocre shot? Yeah, 2-3 tonight boys. Make him work if he wants to get to the basket. Steph and klay? 3-2, make them drive or send it down low. No easy 3s. This version of the game the nba plays is the game you play at the park with randoms. All offense oriented.

respect for admitting when you're wrong. but i don't fully think this solves the issue. 13000 people have seen this video by now, and there's less than 300 comments, which is a lot yes but you still have to think about how many don't care about comments. let's say 50 people see this and decide never to get into competitive 6s, that's a whole high division worth of players who will never touch etf2l because of it. (also check what % of current views at any point from now on is 50 people - very small)
my suggestion, which might be too extreme is unlisting the video, maybe making a better worded one (although as i already expressed in the comments i think most points made are very invalid, whether you gave all the arguments or not)
i never had such an experience so i don't know what the best step would be, but seeing as your comment says you want to make the scene a better place, while in the video you say you can't recommend people to start it twice (start & end), i think the video's impact leaves much more of an impression

yes every roller is a missed pipe which just hitting wouldve been better but likewise every splash rocket is just a missed direct but we all understand that splash is still a very useful tool
while rollers of course are extremely nice to have for unintentional chip damage, even ignoring that rollers have the unique ability of lingering without being shootable like a sticky so they are still absolutely useful as an intentional stalling measure to reload a couple more stickies to continue holding a choke, or stalling to help escape like in the example of the clip in the video
