Hopefully a bunch of you are already hard at work on these, but there's only 14 days left to get your videos done and submitted.

Reminder, first place is now $200 and we're still looking at adding more prizes.

After how amazing "PREM" was, I'm really looking forward to some of these.

has there been any entries yet, where are they being posted?

I haven't seen anything, but I'm assuming most people are waiting until the deadline. We posted instructions on that forum post for how to submit.

I don't want to be a party-pooper but I doubt you'll get any. There wasn't much exposure of the contest and the timing was awful.

What stopped me from making a video was going through 1 gb of demos without any way to know if there was a good frag or not in it. Don't know about the others.

should delay the contest and release it with the documentary along side the original contest that was held at i46, maybe a before after thing would be pretty cool.

This thread was my first knowledge of the contest.
Same here.

I knew about it but I pushed it out of my mind. Probably because I wouldn't be able to make anything good anyway.

This is the first time I heard about this also.

I had posted about it a month ago, I'm sorry you guys didn't see it - my fault for not making a bigger deal about it. We were hoping to cash in on the event being fresh in everyone's minds... talked about it on eXtravision as well, I think. Anyway, we'll talk about it internally and see if postponing would be OK. What do you guys think? Push it back a month or just put the prize money towards a tournament or paying back sal or something else?

I guess attempting to find out how many people are planning on submitting something would be a good idea and then make a decision based off that. Dunno how feasible finding that out is though unless they see this thread.

Why don't you guys just pick one really good editor who's down for the job and pay them $200 for it? It's probably best to get this out as soon as feasibly possible while i46 is still fresh in everyone's minds. You want this video to be a representation of the TF2 community, not a reminiscent video from an event 5 months ago. I'm sure even if it were 5 months late people would find it cool, but definitely much, much cooler and relevant if it's released soon.
Talk to well known and respected editors (Torn Productions, for instance) and see who is willing to make the movie. Honestly, the publicity for a movie about the biggest thing TF2 has ever experienced and $200 is pretty good motivation.
Edit: everything in this post is while under the impression that almost no one or no one at all has contributed to the contest. But this still applies if you get submissions that aren't exactly up to par.

theres no ticks - hugely time consuming task to go through all the demos and find good content for just a single person.

So, funny thing, we have ticks for the STV demos. I can post all of those here in one huge wall of text if you guys want.

Yo, just to update everybody... we're going to cancel the contest and look into getting a single video created, instead.
Sorry for any confusion and for not making the push for the contest more aggressive... we'll get 'em next time.
